Good product - a few design flaws - not completely accurate or comprehensive documentation - almost zero support unless you upgrade to $150/mo

I finally started setting up my school in Gurucan, but have had to reach out to support a few times for assistance because their documentation is limited, confusing, or doesn't answer my issue. They provide almost ZERO support unless you have a bug. Instead, he just says the flaws are by design, "sorry for the inconvenience".

I doubt they will ever show up here again because they are set now, but it does suck that our support we purchased says "done-for-you", which sounds like they will help you, but really what it means is they want you to pay one of their Gurucan Experts (which are unaffiliated contractors) to have them help you because Gurucan doesn't actually provide support other than bugs.

That's misleading and dissappointing.

On the bright side, if you spend enough days messing around with it and pushing buttons and testing, and you are willing to use integrations for purchasing, etc., so that you can hide their offer screens, then you can make pretty much everything work good enough to not pay $200/month for support.

So still a win and worth 4-stars, but support should have been clarified not written as "done-for-you" as if it was included. It's not.

Serious Platform Bug Ignored – Poor Customer Support Experience

I’ve been using Gurucan for a while now and had high hopes for scaling my certification programme on this platform. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been disappointing and frustrating, especially for a system positioned to support professional course delivery.

I raised a critical bug that directly affects how training content is delivered to students. Gurucan’s own documentation states that any updates to course content, such as uploading new videos or unpublishing modules, should automatically apply to all enrolled students. In reality, this isn’t happening.

Here’s what I’ve encountered:

-Students from a previous cohort can still access outdated, archived content that should no longer be visible.

-Newly uploaded videos and updates are not showing up for some current students.

-Content marked as ‘draft’ or archived is incorrectly visible in student accounts and should not be accessible at all.

I’ve submitted detailed student examples and test accounts, following all suggestions provided. Yet it has now been almost a month without a clear update or resolution. Support has been silent for over three weeks, despite the urgent nature of the issue.

This isn’t a minor glitch. It directly affects client experience, erodes trust, damages my brand, and disrupts programme delivery. For any business delivering professional training, this raises serious concerns about the platform’s reliability.

What’s equally disappointing is the lack of customer support. As a paying customer, I expected better communication and accountability from a platform built for educators and course creators.

If you need a dependable system and a responsive support team, I encourage you to carefully consider whether Gurucan can meet those expectations.

0 Improvements in 2+ years

So i bought gurucan years ago when they first got on here, mostly because they went through ycombinator.

However, 2+ years later and they have made virtually 0 upgrades. only downgrades.

Also, they don't even have playback speeds on their videos, and if you want to embed HTML from somewhere else, on mobile it wont show. You're basically screwed.

Ive asked them consistently about improvements that are needed to keep them at base level with the course software that came out in the early 2000s, but yet they don't really...i don't think they've ever been through a course themselves.

I wouldn't suggest

It took me some time to set the account, and I was not happy with the output.

So, we barely support this platform.
My issue though, is that many times the service is down due to their security certificate
NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

I do not reccomend it.
