I have been thinking about making some guitar instructional videos for a while now. Last year I saw and bought a service called everlesson but I just didn't like it at all. When I saw this deal for gurucan I wanted to give it a try. I love the layout and and especially think the mobile app is worth the deal all by itself. I also like that you can write articles and add them into the platform to support the courses. I think the category feature could be improved on because as it's currently laid out I think it would become a mess if you add very many articles into it. I know the deal says 'unlimited videos' but that's a little misleading because you can only embed videos and they must be hosted elsewhere. For this reason I also bought sendspark to use in conjunction with gurucan because I can host my videos on sendspark and embed them into gurucan. I chose to do that because youtube videos would look stupid with the suggested videos at the end popping up. Also vimeo can be expensive to use for video hosting. I hope to complete a course and see how it turns out. If I am pleased with it before the refund period ends I will keep it. So far I like what I see.
