This is basically a lot of comparing Teachable to Gurucan. But - there may be a few more people out there like me who don't know who to trust to handle their courses and learning experiences.

I have recently signed up to Gurucan. A single code for $79 is less than one month of the Teachable Pro plan! Or any other LMS for that matter. Bargain if it works and if it stays :).

I've been doubting whether I should put my courses on Teachable at all. The interface is not very user friendly, so I kept getting lost every time I wanted to check on something, add something, and all over it's a steep learning curve since it's become quite cluttered over the course of the last few years. But I wanted to go there because it's so easy to just get one piece of paper a month telling me what I have earned, and all the European VAT and sales tax is taken care of already (that is the biggest USP of Teachable, please correct me if any other LMS offers this!). This is such a great feature for a European business that I even thought well who cares about a mobile app for Android (which T do NOT have)!

But enough about Teachable. I was on the fence with Gurucan. They do NOT have a payment gateway or an integration, and connecting e.g. Quaderno for $49 or $99 and then possibly pay another $49 for Zapier seems a bit over the top. However, it seems they will put a solution on the roadmap! This is the great advantage with a young company. When you send in a request or a support ticket, or an idea for a roadmap, you are actually heard!

I signed up, settings are super easy, everything quick to find. Yes!!!
Next, the features that are already there besides "courses" or coaching, even in Beta, offer mindblowing possibilities! Paid webinars?? Paid challenges?!?! Paid articles?!? It appears that this is an all-in-one solution that will take the headache away from the "how-tos" of offering content to future students. You can run your entire marketing from the dashboard.

And then - the apps for iphone AND Android! Make it easy for your students to get push information and learn.
That said, Teachable also has a "coaching" function (even though I just tried to find it and got lost in the interface - sorry Teachable :/ !). That would be another great thing to add to Gurucan. Let's take it to the roadmap :).

If I find that it's not good enough (which I doubt), then I can simply use a few functions instead of all of them.

I am not entirely sure how they handle GDPR. This is an answer from the questions section though: "We’ve got servers in Digital Ocean AMS3 (Amsterdam) and NYC1 (New York) Datacenters, Hetzner (Germany). Our cdn network for content (gcorelabs.com) has over 75 endpoints all over the world.Our company GDPR compliant."

I am blown away by what I have seen, and there is great potential!
