Wow, AI Headshots are definitely not there yet!

I took clear, well lit and frontal images, providing 10 as instructed. What I got back were a mixture of...

- A fat face and/or gigantic head
- Eastern looking skin tone (I'm white British)
- A massive quiff / curl to my hair
- Horrible, patchy skin like I have a disease
- Long, flowing hair that attached to the back of the actual short hair I have
- Standing on a desk randomly

Clearly AI is not ready to produce professional headshots and replace actual, talented headshot photographers. And yes, as mentioned at the start, my photos were to the app's guidelines.

I did try my best to get at least one decent image, but it just isn't reliable. You get 40 because maybe you'll be lucky and get one you can use.

We reviewed your account and the photos you uploaded and found that the AI model training guidelines were not fully followed. Specifically, only selfies were uploaded and no full-body photos were included. Since the AI does not have prior knowledge of you, it relies entirely on the training images provided. Without full-body photos, the AI doesn’t have enough visual information to properly understand your appearance, which directly affects the quality of the generated results.

We’ve sent you an email explaining how to fix your AI model training and offering our assistance. We’re more than happy to hop on a call and show you how to properly train the AI model step by step.

We have been following up, but still we didn’t get your response. It’s okay you already took the refund from AppSumo. But let us justify and show how amazing our AI model is. The claims you have made are wrong. I hope you will respond and let us show the output.

update: Today is December 25. I just finished my Christmas dinner with my family, and I was genuinely hoping you would respond to our email and update your review.

We want to be very clear that there are no issues with our app. We even discussed this case directly with AppSumo and asked them to independently review both your input photos and the AI-generated outputs. They were also surprised that you were dissatisfied, as the results were amazingly high-quality and accurate.

Once again, we kindly request that you respond to our email. We are not asking you to change your opinion or justify our solution - we simply want others to know that the app is working properly and that the outcome was not due to any fault on our side.
