Q: Hello!

Just bought it. I wrote to support but It says no one's there until thursday.

So, I've got a few question:

1- Im building a freemium heartbeat, added a Book club but it's mandatory to have zoom integration. Then tried Anonymous Q&A but its mandatory to have Airtable. I use GoZen forms for forms. Or even Google forms. Why is it mandatory to have Airtable? I just want an space where people can ask questions and I can answer it inside of Heartbeat

Or the book club, I don't want to have any kind of zoom calls. Why Is this mandatory? How can I create the experiences I want, as I want them?

2- How can I change background color?

3- How can I translate everything to spanish?
My community is 100% spanish speaker

That's it for now... Thanks!!!

A: 1 - Experiences are a way to auto-create channels, docs, and events to craft larger groups experiences on Heartbeat. The goal is to provide a "done for you" version of great community experiences that can serve as a template/leaping-off point. A detailed video on how we thought through this here:
https://guide.heartbeat.chat/experiences

Once you've gone through the steps to complete the experience, you can easily go back and edit anything you've created — i.e. deleting events, updating documents, removing channels, etc.

The "Anonymous Q&A" is the ONLY experience that requires using external tools like Airtable & Zapier. It's completely optional for every other experience. You can of course re-build the anonymous Q&A experience by looking at the content & refitting it with other tools (i.e. GoZen forms or Google Forms). When starting out, we needed to make opinionated decisions on what tools to recommend that would scale well for communities — if you have other tools you prefer, you're more than welcome to use our provided guides to hook them up to your community & create your ideal experience. If you have trouble setting this up, we also have an #automations channel in The Hearth, our customer community, where folks are often happy to help!

2. Visit Settings > Community Theme and you can change your background color from there.

3. We don't have automatic translation (incredibly difficult and time consuming technical problem) & instead opt for easy tools that allow you to customize the experience for members. You can change the name of all the left sidebar items by visiting Settings > Community Apps, and changing the names of the included apps. Because most of Heartbeat is going to be admin or user generated content, you can also change the names of all the channels, docs, events, etc. to your preferred language — that means 90% of the content your members will see can be in Spanish.

Hope this answers your questions!

Thanks for the answers!

About number 3, and it's a deal killer for me, I saw I can do everything in spanish INSIDE Heartbeat (titles, posts, etc). BUT registration process for my audience is in English and there's no way to translate that.

If my non english speaker audience clicks the link to join my community and arrive to a 100% english sign in process, a lot of them will stop registration right away.

Also, confirmation emails, password emails, etc are in english too. I can't allow any communication sent in english. I've got 1.5 million followers and I know that would cause a lot of hate on my DMs.

I can help you translate all of that from a google doc if you want, but I can't place your software in front on my audience if it's not 100% in spanish.

There are also some messages in english inside Heartbeat that should be translatable. Like "Start writing thread..."

Is there any ETA for this? I really want to be able to use Heartbeat with my audience

Thanks
