I like the features Heartbeat offers, but the one thing that is stopping me at the moment is the look & feel. It feels more like a better Slack or Discord, a bit more focused on a slightly more technical audience. My audience is women who are interested in health, performance & longevity (not particularly tech).

A platform that manages the visual side super-well, in my opinion, is Lu.ma.

Instead of Heartbeat's 2 columns for eg Threads (which is very quickly super-confusing with even just 1 group/course), having the infos from the 2nd column as dropdowns and/or tabs in the main window would make a huge difference.

Also, simply having images for events in the event list would make Heartbeat more appealing. Showing members on a map would be another great addition.

Right now, I'm between Heartbeat and Lu.ma but would absolutely go with Heartbeat if there will be improvements to the layout
