We are an 501 (c)3 public non-profit online community and providing a safe and easy to use platform for our users is key to our mission. We launched several mobile apps, but we have outgrown those online community capabilities so have been looking at quite a few online community platforms, and after having a group of our community members beta test our install of Heartbeat - we decided to move forward with them.

The team at Heartbeat has done an exceptional job with the powerful features provided, and easy implementation; specifically with letting us have our own custom domain.

The only suggestions we would make are "minor" and
not a deal breaker for not going with these folks now:

1. Mobile App - Noted here in other comments/the branding is a bit confusing when you are moving members over but they are working on this;

2. Events - In the event creation section, it enables you to create and host an event in heartbeat's voice channels, but does not yet provide you option to host event in one of heartbeat's chat channels - but that should be an easy fix for the team, and

3. Twitter Feed HTML Integration - It would be great if in the future, if we could add a simple twitter feed html (publishing feed) to the announcements channel,

4. Heartbeat User - "How to Use the App" Video - A 60 seconds YouTube video to provide new Heartbeat "users" a quick look at how to use the app features/functions; specially - the use of a voice channel/options. This may already exists and we just have not found it yet.

5. For Appsumo buyers of their Tier 2 - Unlimited plan - It would be great if they offered us an option to add 1 or 2 additional communities at an Appsumo favorable pricing. No big deal, but because of our own mis-reading - we thought the unlimited tier included additional communities like some of the other online community tools currently for sale in appsumo where their Tier 2 includes at least 2 communities.
