I need my challenges to be a set number of days - say 30 - but to enable users to sign up whenever they want and start the next day or that day. I only see an option to set a start date with your software.
Is it possible to let users sign up whenever they want to start?

Yes, this is possible! While our Challenges feature is designed for course content that everyone will go through on the same date, you could create your "challenge" as a Course inside Heights and you'll be able to accomplish exactly what you describe.
Students can purchase the course at anytime and the drip release feature on courses is based on the date that the student joins (unlike challenges where it is based on a fixed-calendar date). So you could have a course that is set to have its access expire after 30 days and that has content dripped out over those 30 days, based on the start date that the student joined!
