All Your 'Online Course' Issues Solved?
I have been working with membership software (mainly Wordpress) and online course creator platforms for years and where nothing seemed straight forward.
I was just reviewing my software and platforms for a client when into my inbox came this Sumo offer. ALL my issues were solved by the time I’d reached the bottom of this sales page.
Although it sounded too good to be true, I purchased 3 codes and couldn’t wait to try it.
I’ve never come across such a straightforward and easy to use system that does a fairly complex job for the mentor, this is just about as perfect as it gets for me.
The only thing I had to research was how to use Cloudflare in with this Heights Platform in order to have it showing on my own business domain. After this, it was all plain sailing.
I’ll post the solution below as it may help others who are using the same platforms as me.
At first I wondered why they didn’t have conventional quizzes but, after reading their Blog post about this, I totally understand and agree that their ‘Projects’ page is the way forward.
Heights approach to online courses is different than the other also-rans in some ways but it’s all for the better. Once you work with it, you’ll see why .. quite incredible to say the least.

If you point your domain name directly to Heights Platform, then you’ll lose the facility to have email addresses associated with it so, I use my normal hosting account (20i) but run the domain through Cloudflare which keeps email up and running AND you get your personalised URL for your Heights account.
If you are using CLOUDFLARE for your domain settings, then you’ll need to configure it in a certain way in order to get it working with Heights so, here’s how it’s done …
Cloudflare DNS settings
CNAME | Your domain name | secure.heightsplatform.com. | Auto | No orange cloud
CNAME | www | secure.heightsplatform.com. | - | Orange cloud enabled
Then set ‘Page Rule’.
A couple of steps to take in order to create your page rule inside Cloudflare (optional if you want ‘www’ in your URL)
https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200172286-Configuring-URL-forwarding-or-redirects-with-Cloudflare-Page-Rules
This will ensure that both https://YourDomain.com AND www.YourDomain.com BOTH reach your Heights platform account safely for students and visitors.

I really appreciate you posting the Cloudflare setup instructions! For most setting up a custom domain is super simple, but for those who had more advanced configurations on their domains already, there can be additional steps involved. We will add some of these details to our knowledge base in the future. The main thing with Cloudflare domains is that since we already use Cloudflare in addition to other services, and already provide your custom domain with its own free SSL certificate, passing your domain through your own Cloudflare account with your own SSL certificate again, is something that web browsers don't like because it creates a conflict with the certificates.
