The Little 5 Star Course Platform that could...and WILL!
The high ratings that The Heights Platform is receiving is well deserved. Are they like any wordpress LMS plugin, Teachable, Thinkific, and to an extent Kajabi --- Um yes, and no. Yes because the functionality and purpose developing and delivering course material at ease of use for the student and the mentor. No, because Heights keeps it simple, is affordable, and does their job extremely well!
Let's continue...
Excellent at...
šEase of Use- Heights does the job extremely well. I set my whole program in a matter of 1 -2 hours MAX.
šFunctionality - the sole purpose of the platform is to deliver courses and any other digital downloads. They hit the ball right out the park.
šMessage Board - Excellent addition to a course platform such as this, that way all relative conversations, resources, ideas, and troubleshooting are located in one central location.
šCustom Domain - was so easy to set up, I had it up and running in 20 min max
šCourse Funnel Outline - This feature speaks for itself, I appreciate that you have this already baked in
šLessons - You can keep your lessons as simple, and create them as extravagent as you want them. They have unsplash built in, AND you are able to embed google forms, jotforms, Aidaforms, etc. (which is what i prefer-- anyway)
šCustomer Service - Heights platform is ON POINT. Please keep that up even after this appsumo deal has ran it's course ( no pun intended).
šPlatform is MOBILE RESPONSIVE/ Material Design look & feel - I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but yes, It is mobile responsive
šAs an active Lifestyle, Career & Small Business Coach and Consultant this is an excellent platform to track your clients progress because it lets you know if they have logged in, what they bookmarked, and what lesson they are on. Therefore excuses from your clients will not get passed you. The facts are in the data.
šLove how I can add my digital products onto this platform so the student/client buyers journey is all in ONE location!
š They have free resources and blog that will help you plan your course.
Average
𤷠UI - User Interface/Design is Average NOT bad, but not good either. It needs facelift! Case in point, although the platform is mobile responsive, it's VERY clunky! That includes the landing pages, and the overall aestheic of the platform. NOT bad, but let's keep it real folks all over the world are shallow and they judge by looks.
𤷠Documentation - Easy to access knowledge base, but would nice to see videos
𤷠Landing page - Yeah....i know it's not important but refer to UI comments. Also we should be able to embed videos or audios.
𤷠Projects - I see a LOT of potential and it makes sense to me just need to be fleshed out more
Bad
ā ļø Modules - BUT, i See that you are already adding that
Questions/Request
šUnder student profile settings - Add Website urls other than social media
š Under the assignments, where do the answers go? Are they sent to the mentor's inbox?

May 9, 2024Thanks so much for this review! The emoji bullet points work very well.
To address your requests for improvement:
1. UI updates are planned and coming. We want them as badly as you do, so you can be sure there will be many improvements here throughout the year.
2. Lots of video training content and tutorials in the works! This AppSumo deal has slowed down production on them I'll admit, because I am the one speaking in most of the videos and right now I'm busy with thousands of requests more than usual. I cannot wait to get them released though along with more integrated tutorials built right into your platform and some other community features coming very soon that we haven't announced yet.
3. An overhaul to our landing page system is making its way through the roadmap and the updated version will include a more component based approach that will allow for more customization options and flexibility.
4. Lots of plans for both projects and student achievement related features coming this year. This is something we also are really itching to release because we have some ideas here that we think are pretty exciting.
5. Modules are being worked on right now and expected to release this month!
I've noted your requests about adding extra website URLs that students can add to their profiles. For assignment answers, you can find them from your student list page on your mentor dashboard. They are on the third tab of that page. We'll also be adding a way to view them from an individual student's admin profile view soon.
Thank you again!
