I'm a copywriter who does client and customer interviews to inform the copy I write (to use the copywriting lingo, I'm all about "Voice of Customer" or VOC data.)

I love this tool.

I've been using it for a month and it's earned a spot on my Bookmarks Bar — it's just that central to my copywriting process now.

It automates all the most painful, time-consuming parts of collecting and *using* VOC in my copy. It's not just for UX people ... it's great for anyone who conducts sets of interviews and then needs to analyze the data across a set of related interviews.

Some things to note:
- the AI transcription itself is excellent — at least as good (if not better) than Otter.ai

- the extraction of facts is SUCH a good way to remind myself of the main points of the interview. Now I can easily review an interview I did a week ago and jog my memory about the main points—I find myself naturally using the AI generated facts (easy to skim, because they're written in the 3rd person) as my "navigation tool" within the transcript. The verbatim text is always just a click away, so it's easy to check for accuracy.

- You can either invite Hellooo to your video meeting (Zoom, Meet etc) OR you can record normally and upload a video or audio. Works like a charm and it's fast ... a 45-minute interview uploads and creates a transcript in something like 5 minutes

- It's powered by GPT 4 .. the AI is solid (and client data isn't given to OpenAI for training ... it's been done in a privacy-focused way)

- Beautiful UX ... clean, neat, intuitive!

This AI-powered user interview tool is a game-changer! Hellooo makes transcribing, analyzing, and finding insights from interviews lightning fast and effortless. Super intuitive and delivers exactly what it promises.

I have tested Hellooo for several user interviews, and a colleague of mine also did.

We are very satisfied with the tool. It really streamlines and accelerate user interviews execution and analysis, it also reduces friction.

The integration with GoogleMeet (also Teams and Zoom, but didn’t test with these tools) is great. So practical to be able to flag key moments on the go !

The founder and developer Louis has demonstrated sheer reactivity. He has implemented in a breeze a number of correctives and refinements, that I was feeding him during the course of our tests. From beginning our internal tests before interviews, to finishing interviews, maybe 3 weeks passed, and the app got very significantly better, and quite a handful of features were added after my request.

For instance : when I uploaded my first video (an already recorded interview), the AI fact analysis only gave me four very general insights for a 40 mn interview. I shared with Louis that I was very disappointed, since such vague insights were no complementary help.

But some 10 days later, when I tentatively ran another fact analysis on a new interview... then I got dozens of precise and matter-of-fact insights, this time really useful ! And again on other interviews as well.

Granted, fact analysis is not completely bullet-proof. In my opinion, it would not be directly usable by someone not having participated / listened to the interview, thus able to spot inaccuracies or confusions here and there. But on the whole the fact analysis is impressive, it speeds up the analysis by the person who has carried out the interview, and helps not forgetting anything.

The clip feature is not far from being mind-blowing ! You can easily select a section from the transcript, and turn it into a shareable / downloadable clip to make your point. The only downside is that even a short clip generation takes quite a while (unless Louis has reworked that since mid-March), for a less than 1-mn clip generation, I experienced some 3-4 mn generation time. Also I would appreciate being able to select a clip from the video timeline.

The quality of transcript is correct, but (in French) not that outstanding, I found it less accurate than HappyScribe (a transcription only tool I purchased on AppSumo). It was not much of a hindrance to me, but there would be some room for improvement in my opinion.

For now, I haven’t got the occasion to test the AI researching feature of the tool (querying Hellooo for insights, be it on one video or several), so I cannot comment on this part. (however I would be quite confident, given the quality of fact analysis.)

To sum up : there is still room for improvements, both on the UX side and on the transcription, but Hellooo is alredy a really good tool. Having bought lots of apps, both with this professionnal account and with another personal account, on AppSumo since 2018, Hellooo is one of the best deals, and of the most useful, that I purchased.

I tested Hellooo in comparision with another AppSumo app (Transcript.lol) and SimonSays (i use this tool since 4 years mainly for video production transcription and subtitling), and Hellooo performs better on following:
- Execution speed (upload and transcription)
- Transcription quality
- Speaker recognition

When it comes to AI features, it's better than transcript.lol for fact summarisation, creating clips and also generation of custom insights based on questions. SimonSays is completely lost on those points.

Louis is giving great attention to clients wishes, and his roadmap matches with my needs: Notion integration, transcription correction, more sharing options, improving customization of the facts and more.

I definitively recommend this tool for making more with your audio & video files !

This is a long overdue review. I've been trying out this software for a few weeks and it works incredibly well and is close to being able to replace my monthly subscription to another tool (Fireflies.ai). I really appreciate the sentimient analysis and the ability to generate notes based on multiple meetings. The AI researcher, where you can ask follow-up questions works incredibly well. Its integration with popular meeting platforms is also really useful. I think the use cases for this software go well beyond user interviews. I'm excited to see how this develops and the founder Louis is very responsive. I know there are a lot of AI tools here on Appsumo, but I would definitely give this one a shot.
