Very promising. Waiting for more improvements

My review does not fit in the space allocated for review. So, I am making 2

I bought 2 codes, thinking about adding one or two more. My feelings about Helpwise are very positive. I like what I get for the money spent and how Helpwise works. With Helpwise I am mulling a tectonic change in how we use email, especially when personal mailboxes and IMAP support are added. Perhaps it is the time when I may finally retire Outlook and Thunderbird?
I am writing this review more as a set of suggestions to make Helpwise even better based on a few days experience of trying Helpwise. Writing this took time and effort. I hope Helpwise team listens and reacts.

1. Email editor in the lower-right corner of the screen is so Googlish. I understand that Helpwise developers are in some ways are mimicking the UX of Gmail and this is fine. However, whoever at Google decided that the message editor should be on the lower right side of the screen does not understand anything about human physiology. Writing an email when the editor is on the right vs centered on the screen is ending with neck breaking, eye twisting and pains in the back. To Google’s merit I have to say that there is a user-defined setting to center the editor window on the screen automatically.

Helpwise, please add a user setting to enable automatic pop-out for new messages and replies. The window should be centered on the screen. This feature will be welcomed by millions.

2. Continuing about the use of message editor I am asking Helpwise please consider placing the editor’s toolbar on top of the editor, not on bottom. This is also a Google’s ‘invention’ which is not necessary to follow. At least provide an option to change where it shows.

3. Further on to editor improvements please address the the fact that currently we have neither font selection, nor font size controls. This should be an easy thing to tackle I believe.

4. One of the rules of well-written software and user interface is the default field focus on form load. What is missing is focus on the ‘To:’ field when the pop-out editor window opens, right now I have to use mouse to focus it so that I can start typing recipient’s email addresses. The less mouse use is required the more productive we all are.

I noticed no focus on other fields as well – example - when you create a new tag the ‘New Tag Name’ is not focused, so again reach for mouse, focus the field and start typing.

5. No rich formatting for text snippets (saved answers). This would be definitely a big improvement that we may have HTML-formatted canned responses with links, images etc.

6. Please consider allowing multiple signatures for the same team member. We are all multitaskers and are sitting on several chairs at the same Time. Multiple signatures will make our work and life easier.
