Live chat and marketing tools combined and with promising development plans.
I have to give my Tacos for Nikolas and their team. I bought three codes almost instantly when I saw the Appsumo deal and after I visited their website and did research there.
The main reason why I bought this app is the live-chat with up to 10 members and with a lifetime license. That's already a huge deal! Our company has been using Intercom's chat for years on our websites, and we have been quite happy with it. Still, I have been looking for other solutions and also cheaper solutions since Intercom is raising their prices almost yearly, and it feels like we are not getting that much value out of it. Then you stumbled up to this Appsumo deal. I purchased three codes mostly because of the live chat functionality and promising development plans.
I recommend everybody to check their public roadmap (https://trello.com/b/TFDlEQ3h/hey-oliver-roadmap) and comment and vote ideas. I personally gave comments on how to develop the chat more. Our company is not yet ready to switch the Intercom to Hey Oliver, but the time is right after they have finalized the upcoming chat enhancements. I know that they're mostly focusing on the marketing features of Hey Oliver, but I feel that with small changes, they would make their service competitive to Intercom or Freshchat (even with the normal prices). Since they are providing a live chat feature, I recommend making it be a killer one!
I have to be honest that I've not tested that much the marketing automation or campaign side of this product. Our company is already using Salesforce's Pardot heavily, and it would require integration to align Hey Oliver's leads and campaigns to Pardot. I hope they develop an integration, but even without it, I think we will use Hey Oliver's interactive in-site notifications on our website.
My overall feeling is that this is totally a five taco deal, and Hey Oliver will have a bright future ahead. Their team is really fast in responding to questions via emails and even in here. I also like how open-minded they are for new development ideas and how they have a public development roadmap.
Ps. I hope they review the number of tracks for double and multiple code packages. Especially deep tracks are really useful in membership websites where it's required to distinct users from leads. Three deep tracks are used quickly in that kind of use case. For us, it would be more beneficial to get a higher number of deep-, form-, event- and action tracks than the possibility to have Hey Oliver on multiple domains.

May 9, 2024Hey Tommi,
Your review really made me smile, we hope you enjoy Hey Oliver as much as I enjoyed reading your review!
Indeed, we are trying to give a value for money deal to all our clients. That’s why we have this pricing so that everyone can get a good deal and benefit from our tool. The live-chat feature is a very important aspect of Hey Oliver and we’re constantly trying to improve upon its existing version.
I recommend that you try out our inbound marketing campaigns (modal windows) to create hyper-targeted messages since we offer more than 25 segmentation criteria. I believe that’s a huge plus and please let us know of your comments after you try this out too. The integrations with many apps are also on our roadmap to be implemented.
Thanks for your kind words regarding our team - it’s true that we are all passionate about what we do and we’re trying to provide the best experience possible to our clients.
Your suggestions will, of course, be reviewed and discussed in our weekly meeting, and the same goes for each and every suggestion we receive from our users.
Thanks again! I really appreciate that!
Nikolas
