Perfect for Lead Generation, but Still, Not Quite There for Marketing Automation
It's a great product no doubt and I am loving it's power so far. But it's not satisfying my expectations completely.
The tool is branded as "All-in-one marketing automation"... which is not quite true.
See, this is the usual journey for a visitor in a website:
Visitor --> Lead --> Customer --> Repeating Customer.
Now in this whole process, Hey Oliver is serving perfectly for the first few parts only. It's a great tool to capture your visitors as lead and then analyzing which lead is becoming hottest for your business over time And then, offering those leads some targeted campaign to convert them into Customers.
But that's it. Hey OIiver just leaves you there and doesn't help much more.
For example, lets say that I have got 100 leads by using Hey Oliver. Now these leads would leave my site eventually and I will have to get them back either by email marketing or by retargeting ads. Unless my leads come back to my site, I cannot use any Hey Oliver campaigns to convert them into buyers. HO doesn't help on this matter. There is no way I can set an automation for contacting my hottest leads automatically.
Normally, this can be done in 2 ways from current HO system: 1) exporting the leads manually time to time and use another platform to send emails manually; 2) using zapier to send the leads to another tool (CRM or ESP).
We would all agree that zapier is not our favorite for it's cost and manual system would be disaster for large number of regular leads. Contacting/retargeting a lead at the right time is essential and thus automation is MUST. But HO has nothing to offer there.
I am also confused with some of the segmentation criteria within HO. There is a way to create segment/group of audience who have certain points in lead score (thus hotter leads) and haven't visited our site for more than X days. This is definitely cool thing to do, but what's next? How do I make sure that those hot leads get an email with offer to get back into the site? By manually copying and sending emails? There is no integration (yet) that can do so automatically at the right time.
As per their roadmap, they are building (or thinking to build) some integrations. But I guess that can take months, right? So we are basically investing on an incomplete product.
Don't get me wrong, I am very much happy with the already built features, but equally disappointed to see that it has some arms & legs yet to come, or may not come at all.
Overall, I am still giving it a 5 tacos, because the deal is really sweat and the value for the money is easily realized.
Hoping to see this tool becoming more complete over the next few months.

Receiving such constructive feedback is really valuable to us since there is no doubt that we’re constantly working on improving our product.
A lot of the cases you are describing fall into our under-development Drip Campaigns feature, that will help our users do a lot more things, such as targeting their leads through an automated and time-scheduled funnel.
Everything is noted and I agree with every point made. We are bringing our A game to continue delivering new features in the next months, that will make Hey Oliver an "I should have bought this" deal.
