Q: I know there's no public roadmap, but I'm considering requesting a refund.

Are there plans to fix or implement the following soon?
1. Safari browser storing passwords.
2. Option to not take over user's entire browser password fields. We just need a small sheet of passwords.

A: Hey Devin,

1. We have checked and adjusted our interaction with browsers. For all browsers, the heylogin browser extension takes over the password management, the browser does not save anything anymore. This now also works with Safari, though not yet perfectly, but we continue to work on it.

2a. Do you mean our login mask, which takes up so much space? This always adjusts to the size of the input field and that works very well.

2b. Do you mean instead that all passwords are taken over by heylogin, but you and your team only want to share a small part and this bothers you? Regarding the settings options of heylogin, we are currently working on a new system in the backend. This will then allow, for example, that users can set in which browser they want to use their private logins and where they want to use their working logins. This will of course open up many more possibilities for future developments.

Essentially, heylogin is designed to replace your other password systems, so of course it stores all your logins. You can work around this by disallowing heylogin to store the data for each page. Or you can simply disable the browser plugin, but then you have to copy the logins from the web app and paste them by hand. Of course, that doesn't solve your "save login in browser" problem.

I'm not sure if I understood your second question correctly. Regarding the timeframe, I can't tell you anything more specific except that we are working on it. And it would be sad if you leave us, but maybe we are just not the right solution for your needs. You may be looking for a single sign-on solution where you can share passwords and control access more directly. Regardless of what you decide, thank you for your feedback and support.

Cheers,
Dominik

Hey Dominik,

That is excellent news the Safari password storage bug is being fixed.

To clarify my second question: Many of my staff already have password managers, and we only need a simple shared database for password storage. Heylogin takes over every password field, so would be nice to have the option to turn this off. I believe apps like Lastpass and Passcamp work along these lines.

Hey Devin,

oh, i see. heylogin is designed to store and fill in all passwords. At the moment you can tell the browser extension not to do anything on the website you are on. Just click on the heylogin logo at the top of the menu bar and turn off the corresponding sliders there. However, at the moment you have to do this for each page individually. We will adjust this in the future.

Cheers,
Dominik
