MajoritymediaQ: API, Webhook, and Transaction fee pricing for 2019 investors
Hey Ben,
I'm checking in here to get clarity on this because I saw you say you were looking into it on a YouTube podcast but haven't seen anything on what you heard back from Appsumo and where this compromise ended up.
I purchased 6 codes in 2019 going all in on HeySummit. I've been paying the monthly addon fee from that point on. It's my understanding that to get access to the API, Webhook and Transaction fee offered in this deal I'd have to max out the codes again to get on the success plan. Is that right? I'm hoping it isn't and you guys found a compromise. I'm not looking for it to be free but there should be some sort of discount for those of us who are already customers.
What did you and Appsumo come up with to ensure the original investors aren't being handicapped and forced to pay for the full stack all over again?

May 15, 2025A: Hey. I posted a a follow-up to the questions I could find relating to this but I may have missed one or two, so apologies if it didn't bubble up to you.
I'm pleased to say that we've worked with AppSumo and have found a solution for those with codes from the original deal. TLDR: We now let you swap any 2019 codes for 2025 codes! Itâs a straight one-for-one swap (i.e. 2019 perks are replaced).

Thank you for taking the time to respond. This was brought to my attention watching you on a podcast try to explain. I could see you were in a tough spot and genuinely want to do what you can without hurting your business. I missed the original rate trying to get the clarity on what it would take to get access to the new features. We can't see the original deal to compare what we gain vs. lose.
Hey. The quickest and easiest thing I would recommend is to head to your billing area in HeySummit, as that will show you your current limits and transaction fees. if you're unsure about anything, please let our support team know as they will be able to look into your account to confirm exactly what you have / do not have.
Hey Ben - perhaps check in with your support team about expectations. They are definitely not looking into accounts to confirm exactly what we do/do not have and how the conversion will affect the account. They're just pointing to the general pricing page over and over again. Also, they're really pushing back hard about converting in general. This experience is not leaving a good taste.
Hey Charlotte,
Thanks for the heads up. I'll touch base with the team now to ensure we're approaching these questions correctly.
Quick question, though: can you clarify what you mean about pushing hard for converting? I want to make sure I'm understanding what you're referring to.
Many thanks.
Actually bear with us a few mins, we're working on something that will make this a LOT easier :)
We've rolled out an update to the HeySummit billing area. On the right side, in the "plan features" area there is now a new button titled "Show All Plan Features."
Click this and you'll see a list of the features on your account. This should help you do a quick comparison with the 2025 deal. I really hope this helps, and thanks again for the feedback.
