Q: @Ben - what happens if new codes added to old account that already has 5 codes
Sorry Ben, I'm still extremely confused about what will happen in my account if I add 1 code 2 codes 5 codes etc to my existing account that already has five codes from your previous campaigns

May 11, 2025A: Hi, thanks for the question. Sorry, things have become a little confused.
The really simple way to think about it is that it doesn't matter what you already have on your existing account, whether you have an old AppSumo plan, a standard plan, multiple codes, or something else.
Anything you buy now as part of this 2025 deal will simply be added to your current HeySummit account. For example, if you already have 1,000 attendees and you buy an additional 1,000 attendees as part of this deal, you will now have 2,000 attendees, etc.
Thanks and hope that helps. Im here if you have any further questions.

Ok, wait a second -- are you not updating our limits to be equal to the current offer? I bought 5 codes, but you're now offering...
- 3x more attendees,
- 1.7x more active events,
- half the transaction fee,
- API access
Please tell me you're respecting your early supporters by updating our limits to match current limits...
Hey, sorry about the delay in replying. I'm not quite sure how I missed this one.
Can you confirm whether you purchased codes back in 2019? Is that what you're referring to in terms of the five codes that you say you have?
If so, whilst you can add new codes onto that existing account, we aren't automatically converting 2019 codes into 2025 codes, as they represent two different deals with different benefits and parameters.

@Ben --- rather than respond with the frustration I'm feeling, would you be comfortable explaining why you've decided to ignore or devalue the investment of early supporters, requiring us to (in my case) double our investment to get the same benefits as late adopters?
I'm legitimately interested in your logic on the decision and how you think we are supposed to interpret your actions.

It seems like from what you're explaining that if I want the same benefits that you're offering currently, I would need to buy another 5 codes, thus doubling my costs compared to those people who are just buying it today. If that is indeed what you're suggesting, I think that's extremely inconsiderate of your early supporters... Punishing us for supporting you early.
Hey, i'm really sorry for any frustration caused. 2019 and 2025 codes are two different lifetime deals, priced for different feature sets, so the 2019 stack can’t be auto-converted to 2025.
+1 I too have 5 codes from the 2019 deal and have asked the same question but requesting more detail, because some of the terms of the new deal are better than the old deal and some are worse - rather than creating a customer support workload it's best to make things completely clear before we stack new codes on accounts purchased with old codes.. I hope you will answer my question on this matter
Hey, sorry if anything has been unclear. You can purchase 2025 codes and add them to your existing account. We will always ensure that you retain the best possible outcome. For example, if your existing account has a better transaction fee than the new codes, you will obviously retain that existing transaction fee.
The only thing you can't do is convert 2019 codes to 2025 codes, I'm afraid.
Hey @APPSUMO_MANIFESTO_PK. The thinking is really simply due to the fact that they are two different deals, 6 years apart and each with different benefits, constraints and features.
+1 I too have 5 codes from the 2019 deal and have asked the same question - requesting more detail
Hey guys,
Just wanted to give you a quick update. I totally appreciate where you are all coming from and so I just wanted you to know that i'm listening and trying to work out the best way to resolve this so that we strike a happy balance. I hope to have an update for you tomorrow, so please hold on, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks 🙌

@Ben -- I really appreciate your response here Ben, as I think most early supporters would feel similarly unsettled on this as we do. Thanks so much for following up and I look forward to what you're going to share tomorrow.
I have the current deal, I think the best thing would be to allow people to stay with their 2019 deal or to convert to the new deal terms instead if they want, then everyone is happy, because some people will prefer the new plan but some will prefer the old plan - so people can choose.
Also if there is a price difference, maybe people could pay the difference to convert to the new versions.
I'm pleased to say that we've worked with AppSumo and have found a solution for those with codes from the original deal. TLDR: We now let you swap any 2019 codes for 2025 codes! It’s a straight one-for-one swap (i.e. 2019 perks are replaced).

Thanks to everyone that shared their feedback. You all rock! 🙌

Thank you for being willing to adapt your deal to try and provide opportunity for everyone to get the equal value.
I didn't realize there were things we would lose if we moved away from the 2019 deal. Can you point us to a clear and explicitly detailed description of what we lose if we move away from the 2019 deal?
My pleasure. I'm glad the updated approach feels like a good balance for you.
In terms of the 2019 deal, the best thing to do is probably to look at the deal itself to compare what you get with each tier - you should be able to view that over at https://appsumo.com/products/heysummit-april-2019/

@Ben - We can't check the page you linked to because it's been hidden by AppSumo or by you .https://appsumo.com/products/heysummit-april-2019/ is a 404 page
It looks like that link must have been taken down, my apologies. It was working when I shared it with you.
What I'd suggest is to head over to your billing page in HeySummit, as that will show you your current quota, transaction fees, etc. This would be the best point of comparison, just to make sure you're comparing your actual account limits.
That being said, it looks like the original deal for one code provided access for 7,500 attendees, and each additional code allowed for an extra 2,500 attendees. I believe the first code was limited to three events, with a transaction fee of 1.5, though it included unlimited team members.
In terms of features, you had access to private events and advanced ticketing, which is not included in this deal. However, you did not have access to the API.
