Q: Broadcast/auto emails included?
Hey there,
I was going through your Zero to Summit training/orientation course, and in one of the videos ("Customising Your Event > 5: Creating custom email broadcasts and sequences"), at about :40, it says auto & broadcast emails are only available on the Success plan.
Are these included in the AppSumo deal?
Thanks!

May 18, 2025A: Hey, thanks for reaching out! That's a great question.
For context in case anyone else reads this message, HeySummit has a built-in email platform. We can categorize the emails that HeySummit can send into two buckets.
On one side, we have transactional emails. These are all the templated, event-driven emails that need to be sent throughout the lifecycle of your event, whether it's a one-off workshop, course, or a multi-day summit. These will include things like payment receipts, welcome emails, reminder emails when a talk is about to start, wrap-up emails, replay reminders, and so on. These transactional emails are available on all plans and are fully editable. You can also turn certain ones off if you need to.
The second category of emails that HeySummit can send are what we refer to as either auto or broadcast messages. These are messages you write from scratch where you define the audience yourself. For example, you might say to send it to all attendees, all attendees with a particular ticket, or all attendees that signed up via a particular UTM parameter, among others. This allows you to create automated email sequences for specific cohorts of your attendees.
Unfortunately, these auto and broadcast messages are only available on the Success Plan and are not part of this AppSumo deal. However, we have had a few people ask us if they can have access to the full Success Plan, and so we're looking at ways to bring the full Success Plan to AppSumo customers once this deal has finished. We're just working through the numbers, but we should be able to share more information in the coming weeks.
Thank you so much for the question, and hope the answer wasn't too verbose. If you have any further questions, just let me know.
Ok, that's unfortunate but thanks so much for the reply!
