Q: Do speakers count in attendees numbers?

I am planning out my first event (on paper) and just had wild idea...
What if my event goes viral? Will there be enough room?šŸ¤”

Anyway... I started thinking about my speaker line up an it dawned on me that if the speakers are participating in the event they too would be counted at attendees.😱

Are my conclusions true!?
(At least the Speakers = Attendees part.)šŸ˜‚

A: Hi there, that's a good question. Generally, speakers do not count towards your attendee quota, and you can add an unlimited number of speakers and talks to your events.

However, there is an option in the platform to auto-create an attendee record for speakers so that they can have full access to the event. If you activate this, then those attendee records will count towards your attendee quota.

In most cases, this is not required because speakers automatically have access to the full event without needing an auto attendee record to be created. However, this only works if you invite speakers to access their private speaker dashboard within your HeySummit event. When you do this, they automatically have a login for the platform, which gives them full access to the event.

If you decide not to invite speakers to their own private dashboard, you may want to have the auto-create attendee record feature turned on, although this will then count towards your attendee quota. In the grand scheme of things, you will always have a smaller number of speakers compared to attendees, so it's generally not something I would personally worry about.

Hopefully, the explanation above will help you make an informed decision regarding that.

Hey Ben how many speakers can I assign to my Hey Summit platform in total? Is that only 20 for the Tier 4?

You can add as many speakers as you wish - it's just team members that are limited to 20 etc
