ShopaholicQ: Percent of fee and Upgrade
Hello,
On the Max tier, it listed .50% in transaction fee. Is this 50% of whatever we charge our customers?
For non-profit events, which we don't charge our users, do we still need to pay the transaction fee?
Does event support video speakers, or only audio?

Dec 4, 2025A: Hi, thanks for reaching out. Essentially the transaction fees are only relevant if you are selling tickets for your event. If you are not, then by definition there wont be any transaction fees to pay because there will have been no transactions :)
In terms of your video vs audio question - HeySummit actually supports primarily video based sessions. You can run audio only sessions but you'd still be using a video platform (like Zoom, Streamyard, Vimeo, YouTube etc) to deliver it within your HeySummit event.

I also forgot to ask. I saw one of your latest review has user complained about the monthly upgrade fees. What are the monthly upgrade plan and cost he was referring to?
Hey - no problem at all. Essentially we've seen quite a lot of interest from AppSumo customers to get access to all features and benefits of our top plan (the Success plan). Due to this, we have come up with a massively reduced monthly cost for those that want to upgrade (down from $99 a month to just $14). This offer is exclusive to AppSumo customers but it is of course, completely optional :)
