Q: Replays and events
hey again Ben
Question if we host a webinar and then want to have it as:
1) replays that can be accessed for a period of time - 1 year, 6 months, lifetime - is that possible and does it count as one active event?
2) if we do evergreen is that counted as one active event ?
Trying to decide on tier!

May 10, 2025A: Hey Richard,
Essentially, any event that is kept open for registrations is classified as an active event. That is to say, if you have an event, and then the event finishes and you turn off the ability for new attendees to register, then that declassifies it as an active event.
The advantage of this is that it means existing attendees can continue to access the event's replays. However, because you're no longer taking new registrations, we won't consider it an active event anymore.
On the flip side, if you need to keep it running as an ongoing lead or revenue generating event by keeping the event registrations open, then that causes it to remain classified as an active event. The same applies for evergreen events; it doesn't matter whether it's evergreen or not. If it's a published event and open for new registrations, then it is classified as an active event.
Hope that helps clarify, but just let me know if anything is unclear.
Great and with live chat 💬 on webinars is that thru your system or thru for
Example bigmarker ?
Hey Richard, that's a good question. For 95% of the broadcast integrations, our proprietary live chat, Q&A, and polling capabilities will sit alongside the embeddable live stream or pre-recorded video. So, in short, yes.
However, there are a couple of exceptions where our chat will not be present. For example, if you're using an external webinar provider like Bigmarker, Zoom, GoToWebinar, etc, then because those experiences happen in their respective apps (and not embedded within your Hey Summit event), it means we're unable to show our chat in those situations.
Cheers Ben appreciate the replies. Ok I think I’m getting the idea of this. May take t2 for a test :) happy Sunday
