Q: So I did buy, but am finding it meeting a very defined use case and not so flexible in its current stage of development.

Questions:
- I want to sell access via my website within a sales funnel. Will this be possible in the future, maybe a Zapier integration to register buyers
- Will there be plans to live stream directly to heysummit via a live streaming software such as Ecamm Live, Manny Chat, or vMix via the industry standard RTMP standard?
- I will find this out soon from my testing but, if you are doing a non-live summit, will it show YouTube branding? I am sure it will, but will you support other video hosts? Right now it looks like the only legit options are Vimeo or Wistia at an additional cost, hundreds per year.

Beautiful tool really. I know it must be hard to package because there are so many variables that it's REALLY hard to wrap your head around.

A: Hey Adam. Looks like the community have chipped in with some replies already, which is awesome to see.

Ok so to address your questions specifically.

1) Great idea - something I hadn't heard of before. I like the idea of creating an API or perhaps a Zappier integration so that you can tell us which attendees have purchased. I cant promise dates or anything specific at this stage, but i like the idea of providing this freedom to our users to create their own funnels if they want to.

2) Yes 100% - we're actively looking into this as we speak. Again, I cant offer exact dates but we are looking to bring streaming options like this so that folk dont neccessarily need to use Zoom or the other more premium solutions.

3) I believe it will show YouTube branding, if you use youtube videos. We do plan on adding additional video hosting options moving forwards though.

Thanks and hope the above helped answer your questions. Great to have you onboard!

Ben

Says YouTube (not professional at all), Vimeo, Wistia.

In a different Q&A thread, Hey Summit will be talking with Restream.io as an RMTP option.

Aren't summits supposed to be live with speaker and attendee interaction? If it is a video you want to share why call it a summit?

A lot of summits are pre-recorded videos... or they may call them "masterclass series", too... but same concept. I've been a speaker on many, and rarely do the ones I've been on have a live component.

Do unlisted Youtube videos have the logo?

Yes, anything out of YouTube by the terms of their license, have to have the logo and their player.

restream.io will only work if they include an "RTMP Pull link" playable link but its not included with standard, just in professional.

Guys ask restream.io to include at least 1 "RTMP pull link", that way we can have our own players, meaning we can do our own advertimsent before or after the stream, have pop-up boxes show up in the stream or ask for an email before letting them see the video, infinite possibilities so plese go ask the restream.io guys to include at least one please, before the close the deal.

Thank you Ben for responding.

I'm pretty sure that people are going to be asking for Zapier integration for registrations, and for getting registrants on their email autoresponders.

This way people can use any cart to sell access as part of their offer. Or have the registration as a piece of something bigger they are selling. So for example, I sell a product named CartFlows, well I can include with the purchase access to a virtual summit if registration can happen via a zap.

And this will tamper down the argument against the 1.5% processing fee charge, and make it more of a convenience fee.

Totally agree with what you're saying there.

Hi Ben,
in terms of video host integrations it might be worth considering Hippovideo, a great platform for marketers and the development team are awesome, I have talked with them several times they are exceptionally receptive.

thanks for bringing this to Appsumo

Will it work with free Zoom account?

Wow. Youtube branding is close to impossible. Please consider prioritiizing that above everything else. People don't attend summits to watch videos and YouTube logo kinda gives it away

will Bunny.net work for videos?

Yes, we support Bunny.net
