I'm glad I made the jump. HeySummit brings clarity and joy to the otherwise chaotic and stressful experience of event organizing.

Literally 12 days ago I was invited to a summit by one of my old friends. I loved the user experience of the platform. I Googled "HeySummit" (yes, I'm a fossil), and was thrilled to see they were listed on AppSumo. Most exiting was that the listing is still active. 😃

Even though AppSumo offers a 60-day, no questions asked, money back guarantee, I don't take decisions lightly. The main reason is that testing and getting to know the product takes valuable time. I prefer to only for products that pass my assessment.

The next days I researched HeySummit and potential alternatives. I signed up for the weekly live webinar and registered for the free course. HeySummit seemed the best fit for our goals.

What took me over the fence is the way founder and CEO Ben provides information. I love his presentations, the way he immediately answers questions in a satisfying way, and the in-depth course provides 90% of the clarity you may be looking for.

3 days ago I finally made the jump. We have an event coming up in 3 weeks, so I dove right in.

TLDR;
- HeySummit is a mature product.
- It is stable and complete.
- Support is lightning fast. ⚔

HeySummit is super complete. This brings complexity with it, but the interface is well designed. Everything is easy to find. Still, there is a risk of feeling overwhelmed and the best way to tackle this is by following the steps of the onboarding guide.

Before I invite speakers to our event, I want to finish setting up HeySummit 70%. For example by adding high quality pictures to the venue (we do hybrid events) and writing marketing copy for the landing page. I also want to give a bit more thought to the ticketing strategy and to how I can communicate the value of taking on a speaking opportunity. There are so many ways how speakers can benefit from participating. I wish HeySummit would provide some proven working template emails for this. šŸ˜Ž

So, what's the verdict?

HeySummit is ready to run your large and small events. Setting up your first event takes time, but once that it done it will save you much more time. The support team is amazing and blazing fast. And picture this: my feature request was implemented within 24 hours!

Go ahead and try it out. All the headaches from working with spreadsheets or generic kanban boards will soon de a distant memory.

I'm really glad to see that you found our support and response to new features to be prompt. That's the way we like to do things :)

You also seem to be structuring and approaching the event setup in the right way by getting it 'mostly' ready before inviting speakers. That's absolutely what I typically recommend.
