I originally discovered HeySummit through their initial Appsumo deal in 2019, and since then I've hosted events for myself and clients for over 50,000 people, generating well over $250,000 in front-end revenue. There has been a tremendous amount of updates since I first got it, many of my own suggestions as well, and the team is quick to respond if you need any assistance or you have any ideas for new features.

For example, I run some conferences in the educational space and HeySummit being able to track participation means that we can offer bulk attendance certificates (and completition certificates) with zero work, which people can then hand in as professional development hours. A small update for HeySummit, but a huge increase in conversion rates for us as we could now offer this for our VIP ticket holders.

Whether you want pre-recorded sessions, live sessions, in-person/hybrid setups, archives of your old events, gatekeeping certain content but not all, or for a limited time, you can do it all with HeySummit. Full affiliate system, integrating with tons of services + Zapier, you really provide an awesome experience for participants which increase the conversion rate and eventual revenue.

I tend to do the "Summit model" -> 5-day events, mostly pre-recorded, with a free 24-hour ticket (participants can watch replays for 24 hours after each session going live), and then an optional ~$50 "VIP" ticket that removes the time restriction and gets access to some bonuses. Generally, this option might be purchased by 7-15% of your participants, leading to a great front-end revenue, list-building, networking with leading partners in your network, and much more.

but, hey, you can do any length and type of event. Fully paywalled? Check. One-day workshops? Check.

You can't go wrong with this deal. This is what Appsumo is all about. Forget the 15 crappy AI writing software knockoffs that go on sale every day, this is a bonafide complete software at a bargain of a price, and it's only getting better every day.

Negatives? The only weakness I can think of is that it doesn't look great out of the box, and might require some CSS and graphical knowledge to improve the visuals, and the editor can be a little janky at times. But even that's being worked on, and a brand new theme was just released recently that hopefully improves this.
