Q: Hi!

Congrats on being in the main AS arena :-D

Question: I see you have video chat. I'm wondering if I can use the video chat to screenshare and record a message asynchronously.

My VA's time zone is the exact opposite from mine, so we share a lot of Loom videos. I record my thoughts and instructions, she watches it, 12 hours later and executes.

Can I use the video meeting function in Hibox this way (asynchronously). Thank you!

A: Hey there!

Thanks so much for the kind words! We're very excited.

The short answer is no, you cannot use Hibox videoconferencing to record asynchronously and send it. You can share screens, open a chat window and even create tasks during a call, but you cannot record it. We've added that to our potential features list though :)

I completely understand your predicament as I often work this way myself.

Here is how I use Hibox in this kind of situation when video is the right way to go:

1. I'll create a task in Hibox
2. I'll record my video using Loom or similar tools
3. I attach the video to the task and assign it (often giving a due date)
4. Depending on whether or not more is needed, such as documents or images, I'll attach those too. I also add comments when necessary. Lastly, if it's a larger task that should be broken up into parts, I'll add sub-tasks so no part of the project is missed

I really do this quite often and it works great. Your VA will see indicators that there are sub-tasks, comments, etc so they won't be missed.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
