After just a few days of using Hippo Video I believe it is one of the most useful AppSumo purchases I've made. The creators of Hippo Video have done something incredible for people in sales & marketing - they've woven together the key technology we need to get our message out to the market in a quick, easy, and professional way.

For anyone involved in sales or client service, this could quickly become one of your most indispensable tools. I tried a few other tools that were recently available (WW, SS, QP), but Hippo Video is years ahead of them for my needs. The deep integrations with Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, SalesForce, etc. make this feel like an enterprise-grade, battle-tested solution.

I was initially drawn to Hippo due to the screen recording capabilities and I compared it to some other available options and it came out on top in terms of quality, functionality and speed. The mobile app is also very impressive and works seamlessly with the website, Chrome extension and Mac app. All the key features I need work extremely well right now (as opposed to being on a road map or coming soon).

I had a few questions, reached out to support through their chat app and was soon on a call with Rahul from the Hippo Video team. He quickly answered all my questions and then took the time to understand my needs and showed me exactly how I could use the tools to achieve miracles!! It feels like this company is the real deal and a real gem and I encourage others to at least try it out.

A value-add bonus is a library of sales coaching videos from a sales legend, Jeffrey Gitomer (Little Red Book of Selling, etc.)! He has many incredible tips on how to USE this amazing technology - and it's interesting to hear from someone who's an established leader in sales.

While this deal is pretty close to perfection for me, here are the changes I would make if I had a magic wand to wave:

1) The teleprompter (online and on the mobile app) works extremely well. However, I would find it even better if I could move the text closer to my computer webcam. It's close now, but if I look closely I can see that my eyes are looking down slightly (maybe an inch below the webcam - not a big deal). Another powerful feature to consider for the future would be having the script follow your voice - see PromptSmart VoiceTrack.

2) License Tier 4 - Given how much I anticipate using Hippo Video, I would happily go to the next tier if it were offered. The deal is already generous, but there are a few other customizations and having access to them would make a sweet deal even sweeter.
