I'm still getting used to HockeyStack, but this is one deal I'm going to keep using.

I'm a web publisher, responsible for numerous websites. Analytics is crticial to my business and I've been a long time user (15 years or so) of Google Analytics. But I've been looking for an alternative since GDPR started raising awareness of pixels, tracking and general "privacy violations". I don't personnaly agree with the new laws, but it means that I have to have dopey cookie notices and opt in analytics. Switching to HockeyStack hopefully means I still get useful data, while complying with local laws.

Interestingly, when I swapped GA out for HockeyStack, my website immediately got faster and GTMetrix noted a modest performance boost.

Google Analytics is great, but it can be overwhelming. I think HockeyStack has found that balance between providing useful data, while still be easy to use.
