Off to a good start
I am new to HopperHQ after using a self-hosted social media management platform. I simply wanted to relinquish the responsibility of updating an application and select one that was managed. I really like what HopperHQ has going for it and how easy it is for me to push out social content in a one-to-many fashion.
All in all, aside from some annoyances, I find the tool very good and see the potential, assuming the developers are inclined to listen to the requests of users and prioritize them accordingly. The ability to vote on feature requests would be nice.
There are a couple of things that I am hoping evolve or gain support:
1. When creating posts, I wish you could see a preview of the post on all social platforms you have selected for it to be posted to. Also, for a moment, I got excited thinking it would actually let me post an image to TikTok, only to find out that once scheduled, it generated the error you would expect when trying to post images to TikTok. I wish these errors would come earlier in the process, like when you are selecting the platforms to post to while creating the message. This is something standard that I see the competition do, so I would think it would be a standard feature.
2. Support for Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads by Meta. As these platforms become more and more popular, particularly BlueSky and Threads, I would like to be able to push content out to them. Currently, with HopperHQ, when I schedule my content for the scheduled platforms, I have to make a task for myself to remember to go post to each of those platforms individually. It's painful, and I hope this receives some level of priority or at least allows us to vote on which one we feel, as users, is the most important to develop.
3. I hate how a social network is jumped to the top of the list when you select it from the side menu. It’s a little off-putting and distracting. I wish it would just highlight the social network you selected rather than shuffling the others.
4. I wish you could see all analytics from one place instead of having to go individually through all platforms.
5. It’s not obvious upfront that the hashtag tool is for Instagram. I tried using it with Facebook and kept getting an error, but somehow, I made it to a page that told me it was for Instagram. But when building a message, you can add hashtags to anything, so I am assuming the analytics and best hashtag tool is what is limited to Instagram.
6. Instead of selecting a full hashtag list, I wish you could select specific hashtags from a group. Currently, you have to either manually type the hashtag or add the hashtag group and delete the ones you don’t want to use.
7. Menu navigation, particularly accessing settings, needs some work. It's not intuitive and off-putting because you have to stop and think about what it actually did when selecting a different social platform. It seems as though there is a lot of redundancy.

Nov 20, 2024Hi there!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and your experience with HopperHQ. We're thrilled to hear that you're finding the platform easy to use and off to a good start—it’s always a pleasure welcoming new users! 🚀
We really appreciate your constructive points, too. Here's where we stand on the areas you've mentioned:
➡️ Post Previews & TikTok Support: Post previews for all selected platforms are on our future roadmap, and we’re excited to roll that out in due time. Regarding TikTok, image scheduling is a near-term focus for us, and we completely understand how earlier signposting for unsupported formats could be helpful. Thanks for flagging this!
➡️ Bluesky, Mastodon & Threads: We’re actively exploring adding support for these platforms. Your thoughts here are noted, and we aim to bring in features that best serve our customers’ needs.
➡️ Social Network Sorting: We’ve heard this feedback from a few users and are happy to share that improvements to this functionality are already in the works! 🎉
➡️ Unified Analytics: This is fantastic feedback, and it’s on our radar to make analytics more cohesive and user-friendly.
➡️ Hashtag Tool Clarity: Totally agree that the Instagram-specific hashtag tool could be more clearly signposted. We'll work on better explaining this in-app to avoid confusion.
➡️ Selective Hashtags: This isn’t something we’re prioritizing at the moment, but it’s great to know how you’d like to see this feature evolve—thank you for sharing!
➡️ Menu Navigation: Navigation improvements are an area we’re reviewing to streamline workflows. We’re always looking for ways to make the platform more intuitive.
Your thoughtful suggestions are incredibly valuable, and they motivate us to keep improving. If you’d like, feel free to pop into support anytime to share more insights or ask for updates—we love hearing from you! 💬
