Q: I cannot make up my mind to buy unless I am promised a price one year from now.
I think there are quite a few people who have the same idea. There are already many of the same questions.

May 14, 2024A: Hey, yeah it's a fair concern and I understand. Here was our response to someone else who also recently asked this question:
To clarify, this is a one year deal. After one year, the regular price of our Pro plan comes into effect, which is listed on our website (Pro plan is $49/mo and Starter is $29/mo - and both of these have a 20% discount with an annual sub).
With that said, for sumolings who join us today, we do hope to offer an additional discount in the following year, but we're not able to commit to a specific % as there are many unknowns for us in terms of costs, plans, features, etc.
In sum, I would purchase this deal if you are happy with the 1 year deal itself, and not for the future potential it holds. But keeping in mind that we do hope to provide an opportunity to renew at a good rate depending on the promotion we're running at the time.
I hope this helps add a bit more clarity. If you have any other questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'd be happy to help!
You launched this deal on AppSumo with a guarantee that buyers of that deal will be able to renew their annual subscription at the same price they paid for their first year here on AppSumo.
And then you re-launched on AppSumo at a higher price.
Was that promise only for the people who signed up during your first AppSumo offering or are you cancelling your promise to those buyers entirely too?
@Rik - That is correct. Those were terms for the first deal we launched which we are honouring. The deal was for a lesser price but also a lesser word count too.
The previous deal did not change the annual price amount, this deal may change it. Am I wrong in this understanding?
@Take, the original deal included grandfathered pricing. The new deal no longer has grandfathered pricing. If you have more questions, please email me [email protected] and I can explain in more detail. Thanks!
