Humanize AI on AppSumo does a solid job of making AI text sound more natural, and I like that it also covers SEO and AEO optimization. I especially value the option to select sources for research and citations, and the step-by-step article generator where I can add keywords and structure the content.

That said, I’d prefer to edit the outline directly in the right panel instead of through the chat field, and the text and meta format feels off with fonts that are too large in this section. The UX also feels fragmented, since the AI detector, plagiarism checker, and paraphraser are all separated instead of being part of the main writing flow. But a plus when uploading content from other sources, but please add a button to use this in the document as well. To avoid edit in different places and unnecessary iteration. The AI detection is not working as I expected, as it mark single words like citation.
The human writing score also needs refinement, as it doesn’t always match how natural the text reads. I’m also unsure how much to trust the Article score, since it’s unclear how it’s calculated, and I still found typical jargon slipping through even when I asked it to avoid this.

It would be very useful to add custom prompt instructions for reuse, an indicator showing when the AI is working, and the ability to insert CTAs and backlinks directly in the editor. Better control of section length would also help, though this might be managed through prompt instructions. A custom brand voice feature, where I can set style and tone, upload reference documents, and pre-define the target audience, would make the tool far more practical for real content needs. Adding direct support for LinkedIn posts would also be a great addition.

Finally, an inbuilt keyword research tool with volume, difficulty, and clustering would round things out and turn this into a complete SEO and content hub, not just a rewriting tool.

Overall, it shows promise, but it needs these improvements before it feels like a daily tool. 3,5 tacos!
