Humata was launched publicly in February of 2023. We are based and located in Austin, Texas.

What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

Cyrus Khajvandi is the CEO of Humata and is a Stanford alumni. He previously founded Dnovo a YC backed company on the mission to cure hair loss through novel cellular reprogramming. He previously led as COO and Co-Founder of Passfolio, a FINRA and SEC approved trading application, which grew to $500M in completed orders and 180,000 users before being acquired.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

I created Humata to accelerate scientific discovery. Reading lot of technical scientific papers and finding insights buried in them was very tedious. I created Humata so that people could accelerate by chatting with all their files and get answers they could trust with highlighted references. Now we serve enterprise and government customers.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Humata is solving the truthfulness problem in AI by providing highly accurate answers with references. We connect your knowledge base to AI to help you automate workflows and answers questions based on your data.

I’m interested in using your platform, but I would like to understand more about how you handle data privacy, especially regarding the integration of GPT-4.0. Specifically:
Are the documents I upload or the interactions I have with your platform sent to OpenAI or any third-party servers for processing?
If so, how do you ensure compliance with GDPR, particularly regarding data storage location, user consent, and the right to erasure?
Can you confirm whether the data processed via GPT-4.0 is used for training purposes by OpenAI or any other entity?
How long are uploaded documents or any related data retained on your servers, and do you offer options for immediate deletion after processing?

Your insights on these matters would greatly help me assess if Humata is suitable for my use case.

A: Yes, you can immediately and permanently delete your data at any time.

We have major enterprises and government institutions that trust use Humata for confidential and mission critical use cases.

Humata is SOC 2 Type II certified and compliant. You own and control all of your data. You can chose to delete permanently at anytime. All your information is encrypted at rest and in transit. Unlike ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc Humata does NOT train on your data. In addition, we have a strict DSA (data sharing agreement) with OpenAI where data is NOT used for training and has a 30 day retention policy.

Suitable for general use only

The idea was to use this took to check youtube training videos from one or more channels aand have the system summarize as well as compare and provide questions. The model is not capable of deep diving into technical concepts and limits answers to what seems general knowledge rather than the actual transcript. When forcing an answer it is provided but with too much effort to work for the intended purpose. Probably best suited for general use and providing some smarter answers than a search and find functionality.

Perfect App. I had Issues with the public-setting, bute teh support solve it in one day.
It is perfect, but I will firthjer ask für whitelabeling.
I asked Chatgpt to help with the setting of Humata-Bot, now I know, how it works and I put the manuals of all new apps in Humata, that I can learn faster and make the setup supereasy and superfast.
I can recommend this app totally, I hove, this company will survice for dekades, great work, I can build my own App-Assistans.

Really Pleased with the Product

I was looking for something like this and was starting to build it myself using a custom GPT. I ran across this offer in AppSumo and glad I checked it out! It does a great job of allowing me to query the uploaded PDFs and find exactly what I'm after. I also love the feature of highlighting the respective PDF. My use case is around trying to reuse existing menus to create new menus. In doing this, I've also been able to build a mailing list as it understands how to get contact information. Since I have pricing, I'm also starting to play with it giving me costs. Overall, really cool platform and worth my purchase. Thanks!

Document limits were show stopper, support didn't reply

There was nothing mentioned about document upload limits, yet I reached this unknown upload limit the first time I uploaded some documents. Reached out to support, and never heard back.

Piss poor product and support.
