Ideal Resume Reviews

This tool intrigued me, so I tried some others but found this tool met my case uses the best. Wes is responsive, generous in his support and is genuinely on a mission to open up the black box that is, or was, the ATS.

Just from an education perspective this tool opens up opportunities to see how an ATS will rate a resume and provides highly useful feedback to improve a resume (using commercial licence). I look forward to more awesome service and well thought through features. While the tool needs refining in some areas, it's on the right track!!

Ideally we'd all like to be sure that the resumes we submit to jobs are getting 'sorted in' by the ATS system instead of just setting ourselves up for the autoreply of 'Thanks but no thanks'. So why give the resume a dry run vs. the JD with a tool like this? And at $50 LTD, when many services charge half that for one month, why not?
I've used this a TON since I first purchased it so as to fully test its capabilities. I was hopeful this platform would be the only one I'd need, unfortunately it seems to be lacking in several areas and the process is far from smooth.
⏱ There are random delays. For example, there are blocking elements on many pages that need to load before you can do anything, from navigate to the various pages to uploading resumes.
🚫📄 While you can look at your previous saved scans, there's no ability to save just resumes in the system to compare. So you're constantly uploading a new resume for every scan, and waiting on all of those pages to upload, and to parse, etc.
📪 I've emailed Wes some thoughts on pretty basic ways to improve (he replied) so I'm hoping that some changes improve the experience are going to be pushed soon.
As of now, I'm giving it 3 tacos. I'm still gathering data to see if that reflects actual ATS scans. It should be lower (from a UI standpoint) but even with those frustrations, it's a value-add if the parsing is close to accurate.

If you are a career coach, help people with resumes, have friends who are always asking you for help with their resumes, you NEED Ideal Resume. This is so robust but at the same time completely user-friendly, heads and tails above other software that does resume scanning.
Do not miss out! When this deal is over you will kick yourself in the butt when you come across this and miss out on the LTD.

As an Executive Recruiter and Career Coach, this looked too interesting to pass up.
I've only played with it and it seems a bit cumbersome compared to another service I pay for monthly. However, the customer service is so great, I see promise. I'll follow up with a review once I've used it extensively but feel confident they respond quickly and with good intel.

Over the last few weeks I had contemplated paying for a Resume writer to revamp my resume. I've always felt I had great experience to match every job posting I applied to, but kept hitting walls of no responses to applications. I took the time to customize every resume to fit the job listings and wrote matching cover letters to go into more details of my experiences that mattered most to the open position (talking about almost an hour to two hours per application). Not a sustainable pace!

I bought this deal just to check to see if I could self service re-write my CV and it provides great feedback on what to change and why an ATS may reject your submission. Spoiler alert: when I compared the job posting to my CV that I thought was a great fit, it came back with less than 50% match, which would be rejected by the ATS!

Note about the amazing service. I kept getting an "error" or "recommendation" that just vaguely said "this applicant doesn't have high level management experience" which was a requirement for the position and then would go into detail with why my CV was triggering that. However, it wouldn't tell me how to fix it. So I reached out for support and not only did they provide me with feedback on why this "recommendation" was happening but the founder took the time to record a 5 minute video explaining how ATS works, how their algo gets confused based on the text of the job posting sometimes and the effects of it to my resume. It would have been easier to just write "sorry our algo isn't perfect" but they took the time to explain every detail of my issue.
