A great product that just might become even better!
While my use case may not be the norm, I need a platform that allows me to crowdsource ideas and allow my members to have an informal chat about the ensuing brainstorm. Ideanote looks like the perfect product to allow me to do just that, whilst still maintaining control of the tempest. I'll list a couple cons, but the way they've listened to their customers (us) and adjusted the deal already for Appsumo buyers means I'm NOT going to take a Taco away because of them. That's the power of hope (fueled by faith) that the product will evolve to become something I can use without explaining to my 'team' that the lingo is a little wonky.
Pros:
Easy to customize the look
Inviting UI
Unobtrusive messages to Team Owners and Members
Simple to understand without me having to hold my subscribers hands
Cons:
The lexicon doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Why do I have to call it a 'Mission', when 'Topic', 'Issue' or even 'Chapter 3' might make more sense? In the UI it even says 'Missions are goal-oriented idea collections', thus proving that that 3 or 4 synonms can be used to describe the same concept. :)
Similarly, I'd LOVE to be able to customize the way the ideas are rated. I'll never use 'How easy is this idea to implement' or 'How actionable is this idea' or even 'How confident are you that this idea works' because I'm using Ideanote to gather the ideas. (In my case, it's my job to make them work...) So, how about letting me set the rating parameters?
Lastly, if there's a way to group 'Missions', I missed it. It would be really nice to be able to link Mission so that the same subset of (guest) people who are allowed to add ideas to one can also add them to the others that are linked without having to follow the link every time.
Anyway, onward and upward!

May 9, 2024Thank you for the review!
As always, we really enjoy the feedback because it really helps us improve our product.
I have great news for you because you can, in fact, customize the rating criteria!
If you go to Settings (bottom left-hand corner) and click "Custom Evaluation", you can create criteria that you can load into new missions as you create them.
Enjoy! :)
