Q: NotebookLM, Hugging Face
Hi there!
I’m thinking about buying a license cause this kind of solution would be very useful for me. My questions are:
1) what are the differences with NotebookLM (which is free to use, can upload different file types, can read URLs, can read/analyze YouTube videos, can talk to it to get info, etc.)
2) and the differences with Hugging Face?
3) I’m relatively new to this solutions so I can’t answer the question “why pay for iki if NotebookLM is free to use?” by myself :)

1) NotebookLM is another Google service showcasing tech (particularly their LLM Gemini), not their core product, resulting in a number of minor fallbacks – they are not the best solution to parse URLs, not the best library with informative cards and filters and UI in general. Most importantly, they do not and will not have SOTA LLMs like OpenAI's GPT-4o / o1 and Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet. There is a ton more like Chrome Extension (upgrading it now), custom commands, community, collections, etc
2) HuggingFace is an ML platform for developers, they do not have a digital library as a product.
3) You can try the lowest tier to get the flavor and then upgrade or cancel depending on your experience =)
