Good Idea but not there yet
I have been using this app on and off for over a month (does not work consistently). I love the idea of having all my knowledge in one place and easily retrievable. The idea of IKI checks those boxes.
There were some hiccups from the get go, but nothing major. I guess all the new users and updates have made things difficult in the backend. The very simple but useful chrome extension stopped working, and also Youtube transcriptions broke down. The IKI team is active in the Discord, but they expect people to find the hacks (other apps can make YT video transcriptions work without manual authentication) they have posted in Discord. And when people ask questions why the service they have paid for doesn't work, the attitude is less friendly if it has been answered previously. Shame on the user for asking a question already answered, but many paying customers haven't used Discord before and have started using it only because of IKI. (Disclosure: I know my ways around Discord and have received only positive responses.)
Due to the many issues that have risen after the appsumo launch, the many features that were promised (research assistant, team seats etc) on October have been postponed indefinitely(?).
Refunding now, but hopefully someday IKI gets there.

Nov 1, 2024Dear customer, there is some misinformation in this review, so I need to correct it.
1. We're reworking the Chrome extension, it's been off for a week and shall be working again early next week.
2. YouTube authorization is not a hack, it's integrated in the product flow, a user pushes 3 buttons in a sequence and then everything works for other videos without another auth until his session expires.
3. The Team spaces have not been postponed for an indefinite time, but are coming in the next major release ā they need proper file system/folders hierarchy support integration, that's why this is not a small feature, and we're actively working on it now. Sorry that it got postponed, but it is coming.
4. We've never promised to deliver the Research Assistant in October; the plan was November, so it is not postponed, we're on track here.
Building such a service requires a lot of tech skill and resources so we'd appreciate some patience from the early adopters especially for a lifetime deal including all the possible updates to appear.
