Q: Hey Sumo-lings, 👋🏻 This is Birol, co-founder of iLert.
I’m super excited to introduce you to iLert - the uptime platform. 🚀
We built iLert because we believe that businesses should have a single system to dispatch alerts to the right people and manage uptime and incident communication across all their digital services.
10 years ago, iLert started with a simple mission: help companies to increase their uptime and deliver a seamless digital experience. Every feature in iLert is built to help you to respond to critical alerts faster and increase your uptime. The very first version of iLert provided our customers a frictionless way to turn any alert from any monitoring tool into an SMS or phone call with the ability to acknowledge an alert by replying to an SMS or pressing a digit during a phone call, no hardware required.
Today, iLert has evolved into a fully-fledged incident response platform covering every aspect of the incident response lifecycle, including:
âś… Reliable two-way alerting via SMS, phone calls, WhatsApp, and more
âś… Sophisticated on-call scheduling built for on-call teams
âś… Call routing to reach the on-call responders by calling a phone number
âś… Uptime & heartbeat monitoring to get alerted instantly if any of your sites are down.
âś… Status pages to communicate incidents effortlessly to your users
âś… 100+ integrations
Next, we’ll add:
🔥Post mortems
🔥Work logging (for on-call compensation)
🔥Custom metrics in status pages
🔥More messengers (e.g. Signal, Telegram)
🔥More integrations

🤷🏻‍♂️Why should you care?
Because uptime matters! With the whole world online all the time, service uptime for digital services is more important than ever. So if you’re a SaaS company, a managed service provider, or an agency that operates websites and apps for your customers, then iLert is for you.
Can’t wait to see you on iLert and hear your feedback,
Birol
What are the costs for SMS and WhatsApp messages once the max are exceeded?
Hi there,
The SMS and voice quotas in Tier 2 and 3 are a hard monthly limit. If you reach the limit, you will not receive any SMS or voice notifications until the limit is reset in the next month. We don't offer extra credits.
Thanks,
Birol
