How much storage does a typical app use? I notice there are no mentions of 100mb limits on this page until the questions.

The storage limits have to be sufficient realistically for a proper number of apps to be used. Otherwise, there is an ongoing cost of 0.99 per gb storage and same with bandwidth which (as an LTD in an LTD marketplace) good luck with that

100MB is ILLA Drive which is a CDN. This is a separate product you can check more information here:https://www.illacloud.com/illacloud. ILLA Cloud doesn't limit App's storage. Whatever Apps you built at ILLA Cloud via ILLA Builder is not calculated in ILLA Drive.
The 5GB of Retool is totally different because that's all the resources your app uses.

Your use of MySQL doesn't cost any ILLA Drive storage at all. I hope this addresses the situation more clearly.
ILLA Drive is used to store and deliver files which are the front-end-uploaded files.
APPs will not use the storage in ILLA Drive and we support hosting unlimited apps for free.
