Q: Can this be used to creat illustrations for a children's book?
While I really like the idea of having consistent branding images (I'm also a freelance marketer), I've written a children's book and would like to be able to create a consistent character throughout - or are the results always "business" driven w/o this ability? If it can be used for this, are there any examples? I've seen people reviewing saying that the credits are too limited and don't want to get over my skis before committing and have a realistic idea of how many illustrations I could expect to have each month w/ each tier available. Thank you.

Nov 16, 2025A: Yes, you can absolutely use Illustrations AI to create illustrations for a children’s book.
Many of our users are already doing this today. The key is to train a custom style using examples of the character you want. Once the style is trained, the AI can recreate that same character across different poses, scenes, and pages not just “business-style” images. It works well for children’s art, watercolor styles, soft pastels, storybook themes, etc.
We don’t have public children’s book examples, but we can confirm users have successfully produced entire character-consistent story sets with the current version.
In future we will be adding advanced features to control consistent characters. You can follow our roadmap here - roadmap.illustrationsai.com
About credits:
- Tier 1 gives 25 illustrations per month
- Tier 2 gives 75 illustrations per month
Your actual “usable” count depends on how many retries you want. Ideally 2 out of 5 images would be a miss.
If you want truly consistent characters, we recommend:
- Training a custom style with your character examples
- Use the prompt edit feature and add prompts like “same character as before” + scene description
- Starting with Tier 2 for comfortable monthly output
- Take add-ons for extra capacity
