Q: I am not finding much information on the CDN infrastructure your company uses?
Do you host your own CDN servers and if so can you tell me more about the infrastructure POP's, latency etc. If it's not your own then please I would love to know who or whom you use for the CDN?
Also can you tell me if it's only images being served and processed or JS and CSS also and if not is this potentially in the pipeline of planned features or not?
On the one hand the tiers offer “Unlimited Views” and on the other there are limits on bandwidth and processing.
While I guess processing has to do with any modification to the original picture (like size), I am NOT sure to understand why is the bandwidth limited while having also Unlimited Views…isn’t this contradictory? Am I missing something?
Thanks for your question! 😊 Actually, unless you specifically opt out, all your images are automatically converted to webp format as long as you don't close it. However, I'll make sure to pass this issue along to the technical team. 📸✨
Yes, for example, features like Sharpen, Tint, and Extend haven't been added to the WordPress plugin just yet. But don't worry, we're constantly...
Do you provide the ability to crop to a focus point? So say a landscape type image that is cropped to a portrait version using a specific focus point (currently using Imgix) and would be interested to switch to your solution.
2. Is it possible to use CNAMEs for the domain names so that we can preserve the same URLs that are ranking in Google.
1- Yes you can use extract mode for specific crop location Please see the Crop Modes => Extract section in documentation https://imageus.dev/for-developers
2- Nope unfortunately we do not support custom CNAMEs

Q: Hi, i tried your Wordpress plugin but the image is not served as webp and no optimization was done.
Kinda confusing. Also there is no optimize all current media or stuff like that. Do you plan working on your Wordpress plugin?

Q: I'm using the Javascript, and all my jpg images remain being jpg after Imageus compression.
Do I have to do something to convert to webp?

May 15, 2024A: Hello,
You can have the option to disable WebP. Can you please send an example of your JavaScript code to support@imageus.dev?
We would be happy to assist you.
Thank you, 👋
