I absolutetly hate to be the spoiler here with this commentary but what can would any company or individual be with hearing Critique.
First off Insighto.ai ambition to become the leader of Phone AI agents is an inspirational and noble and i was intially looking for an alternative to Intercomn which insighto caught my eyes because of the Phone agent LLM feature which takes support and automation of customer support to another level.
where my grieveance about the organzation methods of conduct came into question when Insighto.ai introudcued the BYOK api for an addon charge of $84 a month or 799$ Lifetime. although i wouldnt mind paying extra on the LTD premium to add BYOK even with limitations i would have been okay with that being it were sensible limitation ofcourse.
none the less dont expect to pay for the LTD and set it and forget it expect that thier are plentiful of addon to purchase which from a business prospective i agree with them charging for those features although BYOK is a must to have. as you may look to other competetiors with the same feature set not locking down api access.
i do agree thier are infrastrcuture costs for maintaining these features thier should be a more sensible one time offer which is included in the LTD for agency or Tier 4 purchasers as it stands now 100 voice minutes is meniscule along with the other limitations that is incurred with the plan.
Again im holding up the team can come up with a more sensible plan and cost of BYOK for tier 4 holders. especially when many appsumolings had the impression that BYOK would be inclided in tier 4 purchases!!

TLDR: it takes 1 paying client to cover your BYOK upgrade cost and we're already seeing an overwhelming response.
The upfront cost for lifetime BYOK can easily be covered by our customers by signing up their very first client for voice bots in the form of a set-up fee charged to them. They get lifetime access to the chatbots & phone agents. BYOK and add-on packages are meant for heavy users typically agency users who serve their own clients. When they serve other business clients, the usage costs will be recovered in much less time. You get breakeven even sooner with the Premium voices which are sold at a higher premium.
Compare a voice bot that is available 24x7 with 3 employees working on shifts every day. So businesses who see the value will easily pay the setup fees which will be covered with 1 paying client. For light users, our existing add-ons will be more economical. For example, a small business that wants to take calls during off hours and holidays. In such cases, 100-300 minutes will be enough per month. They don’t need to pay for the 1-time BYOK upgrade.
