A: Hello! Thanks for checking out InstaCharts! Columns.ai and ChartPixel both seem like great options depending on your charting needs!
ChartPixel excels at providing statistical analysis based on your data and generating charts for you based on AI. If you want charts generated for you with little input from yourself, this could be a great option. I could not make a chart manually through the UI, and had to pick one that the software made for me. If creating a specific looking chart is important to you, I would not use ChartPixel for that task.
Columns.ai has many charting options and features. It will create charts (stories) for you based on what you type into an AI prompt (or set manually through the UI). Using the AI prompts to create a chart is encouraged over using the UI.
InstaCharts was the quickest to show a chart (Instantly after uploading data). I'd say InstaCharts is more geared toward data exploration than the other 2 services. You can quickly change your chart in InstaCharts, and the UI is very user friendly in order to customize your chart further.
InstaCharts offers a chart generation API that the other 2 services don't seem to offer. You can make static images, embedded charts or a shared chart through an API call.
Overall I would say InstaCharts has the most user friendly UI but I may be biased π. We have a free demo - Give it a try to see how easy it is to make a chart with InstaCharts: https://instacharts.io/app/sheet
I have had both chart pixel and columns and returned both. Having looked at the demo, your charts are crisper. Chart pixel was simiplistic at the time and the presentation and crispness of both dont match this product if thiat helps The developer of columns was really nice though and maybe he has updated since.
Yes, our chart API's have limits. The limits are posted on our pricing page: https://instacharts.io/pricing The API limits can be found listed as Tasks. You can use a task to generate 1 chart or sync 1 datasource back to its original
Very cool and potentially very useful. From a site user POV the are great.
How about from a Search engine or AI Search?
Are the embeds SEO / AI friendly? Meaning do search engines or AI know what the embed is about and can see the data or schema attached to them, can the data be accessible to Google and AI searches?
Great question! I would say the embeds are currently not SEO friendly. Also - we're not using server side rendering on the embeds for the foreseeable future (which is great for SEO).
That being said, I think its a great idea to make embeds more SEO friendly using client side techniques. I have created a ticket for embed SEO, you can follow its progress here if you'd like: https://instacharts.canny.io/feature-requests/p/make-embeds-more-seo-friendly
No ETA on when this will be completed - seo friendliness most likely will not be applied to most of our charts; we'll have to think this through.
Let me know if you have any more questions/comments! Bart
Hello, could you please help me understand a couple of things?
Am I able to use webhooks? I would like to pull data from Airtable as well as other databases I'm using, including those that pass through Boost.Space.
If yes, could you please explain how the transaction limits work?
Currently InstaCharts does not offer webhooks. We do have chart templates, which allow you to make temporary charts by building a chart url yourself. A full example on how to set up and use a chart template can be found here: https://instacharts.io/docs/guides/generate-charts-using-templates/
There are limits to chart generation via chart templates. Tier 1 users (solo plan) can generate up to 1,000 charts a month using chart templates, and Tier 2 (pro plan) can generate up to 5k charts a month. If you'd like to try it out for free, you can generate 100 charts per month on the free plan.
InstaCharts also offers syncing from Google Sheets & Google Drive. If you can get your Airtable or database data into a Google Sheet, you can automatically sync it to InstaCharts. More info on how to do that here: https://instacharts.io/docs/guides/import-google-sheets/
I hope this helps to answer your question - please feel free to reach out with any further questions. Bart
Thanks for checking out InstaCharts and taking the time to ask a question.
I believe you are asking if the watermark on the chart goes away with tier 1. Yes, the InstaCharts watermark will no longer appear on any chart if you purchase tier 1.
Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions. Bart
Q: Comparison with chart pixel and columns.ai
Can you please let me know how instacharts is different from the other 2 offerings in Appsumo like columns.ai and chart pixel?

Good to know @barthowe. Thanks for the detailed reply.
Is there any limit to API's?
Thank you for your comment! Our charts are rendered using SVG (instead of HTML canvas), so that is the crispness that you see.

Q: Statistical tools and charts?
What statistical tools and charts do you offer?
Do you do moving average or candle charts, for example?

Apr 28, 2025A: Hello!
Thanks for checking out InstaCharts!
We currently do not have any stock related charts for financial analysis. (So no moving average charts or candle charts.)
An example of the charts we do have can be found here on our homepage : https://instacharts.io/features/charts
We don't have any plans to offer stock charts at this time. Sorry I could not be of more help!
Thanks for checking out InstaCharts and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions.
