I bought InstaWP just before it left AppSumo, and I'm glad that I did.

Effective immediately, InstaWP is my go forward development platform for WordPress. It creates new sites in about 15-20 seconds. I haven't timed it, but it's ridiculously fast.

I use Oxygen Builder, which consumes a lot of memory. InstaWP gives each site 256MB of memory, and the builder loads like lightning.

You can save templates, so when you spin up a new site, it's running your preferred version of WordPress, PHP, and any plugins that you need.

There is literally nothing wrong with the product. I'm glad that I got it when I did. My only wish is that I had the option to stack codes and buy a discount for a higher tier. I'd definitely do that.

I have for years used a dedicated host solution to host my different test, demo and whatnot sites.
And at first I was a little reserved about InstaWP.
But the features it offers and how easy it is to setup a site using your own predefined templates.
Now they also offer fake post/pages etc. so that when you spin up a new site it is preinstalled with the amount of fake posts/pages you decide.
The speed of all operations a great.
Its very Easy to setup and to use.

A nice to have tool at reasonable price.

This is one of those deals that you don't realise you need until you actually start to use it!
I normally spin up a WP instance for testing using an old domain name or on local and whilst it doesn't take that long, it can be long enough to interrupt my workflow.
InstaWP is the answer! Today i've spun up 3 new sites to compare and test 3 different products and it took just moments.
I'm looking forward to diving deeper into the features such as templates, must say i'm very impressed!

Awesome for testing new plugins or themes, supported by Auttomatic – will be a good investment if they stand by the recurring renewal for sumolings

At first, I was sceptical about it. I can't be that simple right? Well it is. What a cool app, full of features and blazing fast. The needed change in terms is really something very important -> The dev listens to feedback.

My previous setup was:
Create a site with most of the plugins and capture a duplicator backup. Then for every new client site, on my dev server: generate a database and install wp… then restore the backup and adjust. That took around 30 minutes+

After I created the template in InstaWP once, setting this up taking around 30 seconds, map a custom domain, and 2 minutes later I'm done and can start working. I dont know how I wasn`t aware of this tool until now. With this pricing - its a no brainer for me.

Drag n Drop of plugins and themes onto a instance is another timesaver. And i have the feeling Ive just scratched the surface.

I wish there was an integrated backup feature or something that would let me transfer an instance to a cloud server to backup while in dev mode.
Also I would be happy if Id be able to stack to get some of the features of the higher tier plans, like the custom domain eg.

I hope this will gain more attention. This is a true gem for me!

I use WpVivid to create a stage at times to test an upgrade. I might even give InstaWP a spin to migrate a page to it for quick debugging. Although, after testing it for a bit and watching some walkthroughs, I think it will be most valuable to me in testing plugins and themes when making a choice for an existing page on what to install or finding the best solution. With InstaWP you don't need to worry about what the plugins, you end up not using, have left behind. Just spin it down, and restart. Another thing that might be beneficial are the two included pages with retention. I'd like more of them, but even the two could be a great whiteboard for quick shot ideas that might need a permanent home down the line… but a little more time to develop than 7 days.

Overall happy, and I think I heard something about an investment from Auttomatic in this particular SaaS. Either way, great work and service.

I do a lot of theme and plugin testing often using a starter site. I realized I can save my starter site as an InstaWP template. I created my first site, deleted the plugins and extra themes that come with core, installed All in One WP Migration, migrated my starter site, and saved it as a template. It was fast.

It is not uncommon for the developer to ask for access to the site when I find a bug. When testing on localhost I'd have to upload the local site to a subdomain to give them access. Now I can just share the InstaWP site.

I was a bit worried because testing is not always complete in 7 days, but now that we have the option to reserve all of the sites this is not an issue.

Support has been friendly and helpful. Automattic is an investor, so it seems a safe bet that InstaWP will be around for a while.
