Bought the Highest Tier Immediately
I created my first website from scratch in less than 15 minutes. I really enjoy the interface of this app.
It would still be incredibly useful to have more robust project-level import workflows (for example, importing full folders where files can properly reference one another). In the past, I tried importing a folder exported from Brizy Cloud so that I could tinker with the code, but while uploads appeared to work, the files rendered blank and couldn’t communicate with one another. This made it difficult to work with fully functional exported sites or multi-file projects.
That said, I want to update my original rating based on long-term use and—more importantly—the responsiveness of the development team.
I previously suggested that the platform add support for the Exercism CLI, since Exercism allows users to submit and work through coding exercises locally and is widely used for learning programming. I felt this tool would be a perfect fit for the educational use cases this platform already enables.
The developer listened directly to that feedback and implemented Exercism CLI support in a month or less.
That level of responsiveness genuinely matters. Many tools promise to “listen to users,” but few actually ship features that directly reflect user suggestions—especially on such a short timeline.
Because of this, I’m updating my review to 5 stars. I’m a bit addicted to the tool (especially when using it inside a minimalistic browser like Zen Browser), and I still believe this product is a steal, particularly considering that it delivers Replit-like functionality as a lifetime deal instead of a subscription.
I sincerely hope the product continues to improve, and based on my experience so far, I’m confident the team is actively moving it in the right direction.

Good idea but not usable right now
A very interesting concept, but it still needs more work before it’s fully usable.
Currently, my main drawbacks are:
- The available shell commands are limited (no curl/wget, for example),
- You can’t import files into the drive—neither zip archives nor via git clone.
- Shell-session restoration often gets stuck (Error response from daemon: Container xxxx is not running),
So, currently 2 tacos that may evolve to 5 🤞

Aug 13, 2025Thanks for your review. You can use "git clone" in your shell's home but not within your drive's /mnt folder. We will add curl, wget in the future updates. Containers are light weight, hence it's normal to get stuck, please open a ticket with us if you face any issues. We are here to help. Thanks again for purchasing, stay tuned for the updates!

Good idea, just doesn't work
I really want to like this but it isn't useable.
What I thought this would do:
I occasionally have python scripts that I need to write and run for quick testing or for a proof of concept. The idea of having a ready-to-go, working python installation that I don't need to fuss with and manage packages on my local machine is alluring. The useful packages like numpy, matplotlib, pandas, etc. were supposed to be installed by end of Feb, so I picked this up in March and gave it a test drive.
What it actually does:
Nothing. I created a .py script in the IDE. Imported matplotlib and numpy and attempted to execute a simple script and no output.
I attempted to create a ticket and no interaction from support. Maybe they never got around to installing the packages, I don't know why it doesn't work. But It just doesn't work.

Edited Mar 4, 2025We have just improved the tool with a new Desktop environment which you will surely appreciate. Scientific Python packages will be added shortly, team is working on a major system update- hence the delay. Hope you will kindly endeavor to update your review.

Why?
This tool was once incredibly interesting, but since the website redesign, it has become nearly unusable. It's baffling who made the decision to change the previous layout, as it has only made it more difficult for users to use the product. Until these issues are resolved and a user-friendly interface is implemented, or the previous layout is restored, my rating stands at zero stars.
There is a reason why 99% of companies use almost the same or similar layout.

So far so good
I have been testing this for a while and everything seems to be functioning well. However, there are several areas that require additions or improvements:
- Establish a Discord channel for feedback, package requests, and support.
- The UI/UX feels like the old days.
- The Pro Shell packages are quite limited, they should encompass all common languages and packages.
- The IDE design could be improved, consider using open-source options like Code Server (https://github.com/coder/code-server).
- Should be able to set /mnt as default location.
- Support for creating files and folders from Pro Shell is needed, as I currently cannot initialize a virtual environment using the command python3 -m venv venv.
- It should support multiple terminal sessions.
- Ability to open Pro Shell in new tab.
- The session durations are too short, requiring frequent logins.
- There needs to be tagging, searching, and filtering features, as there will be many files in the future.
- Implement public sharing with password protection.
- Include an option to upload files and folders.
By the way, great job to the team! I give you 5 tacos and hope these suggestions lead to innovative changes and enhancements for Shell.
