Illegally sourced images?

Hi, I'm worried using your image library puts my company, and other Sumolings, at risk for being sued.

Here's the problem: I paid for the upgrade for the images and videos for $20/mo. The media library has the option to "INCLUDE COPYRIGHTED IMAGES" in my search, which I would assume I'm safe to do since I'm paying extra. The problem is that it says the subscription is through Shutterstock, but it's showing images from Getty (who is well known for suing people for using their images without a license) and from Dreamstime. These images still have the watermarks on them, and they aren't removed after they're placed so the watermark stays. I know Shutterstock has a huge library, but if I uncheck the option to include copyrighted images, then I'm left with almost nothing but really plain stock images and clipart.

What exactly is going on with the copyright images section of the site? I paid for the upgraded option to use these, but it looks like I risk being sued for copyright and not having a license for an image, since they're not pulling from the source that I've paid for. I don't know where these images are being sourced.

I contacted your support directly, but their solution was "You can turn the checkbox off and you won't get the copyrighted images". The problem is that i am paying for a service and I'd like full access, and I don't think the option should be allowed for anyone to access copyrighted images that they can't legally license from your site.

After she had been very responsive to other questions, she stopped responding after I asked for more clarification on exactly what I am legally allowed to use.

Please let me know what to expect on this issue, because I've known people personally who have been sued for this without knowing they were breaking a license/copyright, and I don't want myself or any Sumolings to be in a similar position.

Thank you.
