Quality Beyond my Belief
I’ve used, and still use, a large number of online video creators as they keep me ahead of the competition of my business and that of my client’s competitors, too.
You are usually able to employ an aspect of video creation that, technically, would be difficult to achieve if you tried it on your own or with desktop software.
It is perceived that video creation is very expensive and so, again, using online software programs can allow me to produce something that I can charge a higher ticket for but that doesn’t take much of my time nor requires me to me an expert videographer and/or editor.
InVideo is impressive right from the off … mainly because it just worked (so many programs in this niche are buggy or simply have design flaws) and where I found myself smiling at the ease of use and wonderful quality of the resulting video.
I haven’t quite go the hang of the listing feature or the ‘Advanced’ designer applet as I can’t find a training video on it. However, there is training on the main features which has gotten me off to a positive start.
My favourite feature is that, when I type in a keyword to find a video or image, it find something exactly appropriate to that search. Most other programs I use miss the target and return junk images that simply can’t be used. I found this, especially, when I was working on a restaurant video. I entered the search term, ‘Lamb Shank’ and it returned dozens of images with cooked lamb shanks in all sorts of layouts, however, on other programs, I simply got a field with some sheep in it.
This is so important when creating videos for clients, you NEED to have appropriate images and videos and not just something that ‘will do for now’.
There is the chance to upgrade to a monthly paid account in order to get ‘premium’ videos, for example, where of course, the very best videos are indeed premium. This is understandable as the vendor will need to have people investing into the program in order to keep it running and pay for storage space. A number of ‘in the cloud’ video creators that I’ve paid a, so called, one time investment for have stopped being supported as the business model simply couldn’t run without more income from end users.
After using the aforementioned online video creators for so long, it can be a little frustrating using a new system as it either doesn’t do what you expect it to do when editing or it has vital features missing that you feel should be included. But, once I got used to how InVideo worked and what was expected of the user-input, I found that I started to created videos much faster each time.
I would like more templates at this entry level and the ability to fade the music at the end, rather than abruptly cutting out, but all in all InVideo is very useable and will no doubt improve over the coming months. The final render takes a while at the moment but, once this special launch is over and the number of people using the system all at the same time decreases, I’m sure it will speed up
