The guys are too excited, slow down please!
First of all, Appsumo should not allow any deal to stretch so long. It's been more than 6 months now and the deal is still running! It's ridiculous considering the fact that guys at Invideo have reduced their regular price to crazy small amount. Appsumo will lose its value if it gives so much of extended windwo for any deal here.
About product - Until a month ago it was super great. It easily beat all the other similar softwares like Rocketium etc with its simplicity, amazing variety of features, great flexibility in almost every feature, etc. However, now they are so excited about their product that they don't consider practical issues. For e.g, if a 30s video made in October was 5-7 MB in size, exact same video produced in this month was 30 MB! That's more than 4x larger! They claim that they have "improved" the quality of videos to match industry "standards". OK, if those who don't want industry standards, and want to be able to easily upload videos to social channels etc, why don't you provide an option for them to create videos like how they used to in your own platform a month ago? Moreover, these things were never communicated to existing customers and I wasted my time figuring out why it happened (even the support had no clue). They sometimes say "there are hidden assets in the video that's why size is large. It will not happen in future. Sorry".. and then again say "it's because of improved quality, sorry for invonvenience". What among these is correct?
Any way, if a product gets tooooo advanced for it to be used in real world practically, then it's of no use. Now I have an additional task of reducing the size with another software!!!
Also notable was the way their support interaction has changed since I experienced in the past!
Good luck.

May 9, 2024Hi there,
I understand your grievance and how the file size may seem like a drawback, Let me try and explain why the size of the file has increased. Before, we used to compress the final video renders so as to make sure the file-size remains small, even if this meant compromising on the quality of the export (720 p instead of 1080p, lower bit-rate, etc). However, we spoke to hundreds of users to understand their feedback on the app and a major ask was for the video exports to meet industry standards, and hence, we changed things to that. I am sorry if the support team wasn't able to effectively explain this to you. Will make sure I take this feedback to them :)
