Basic functions work, but...
I have been using this tools from beginning of 2024 after moving from an established bookkeeping software.
Invoiless works well for basic needs of invoice generation but has some setbacks, which is noticeable when moving to it after using advanced tools.
Here are the good things:
1. Custom domain is working well
2. It's easy to operate
3. The custom colors and logos look good
4. Reminders is a good function
Here are the bad things:
1. Support practically not existent. From 4 questions I asked over two weeks only one was answered and didn't really fix the issue.
2. The customization of the invoice is limited. The Page margins are too small and letters appear to close to the page beginning which doesn't look good. Changing the 3 basic margin settings in the software doesn't help.
3. The is no options for a real partial payment. The normal workflow, is to create an offer, then transform it into a full or partial invoice. When doing a partial invoice the software should automatically show the full sum and deduct it from the final invoice. Invoiless can't do that. You need manually create partial invoices and remember to deduct the paid amount in the future, noting it in the invoice.
4. Expenses import doesn't work for me even when using their csv template. I just get an error.
5. There are bugs in the dashboard, and the amount of offer sent not shown.
6. The revenu is not visible in the dashboard. You need to manually create PDF reports to see that summary. Very not convenient.
7. There are bugs in the invoice creations. E.g. creating an additional discounts adds to the sum, instead of reducing it.
8. There is no option to add text above the items table. E.g., "We offer you the following..." or "Thank you for purchasing the following..." . You can add custom text only at the bottom of the invoice.
There is potential to the tool, but for now it's very basic and doesn't have all the functions needed to cover all the needs a business owner has.
I hope improvements will be introduced soon.
