Instant Avatars are worth it
I'm looking at Jogg.ai as a way to create instant avatars of myself, to build automated flows on top of the API.
Some pros:
Founding team is very active with updates;
Great for multi-language support;
Good at lip-syncing;
Awesome that it supports API (main reason to purchase for me);
A few cons:
Talking avatar captions don't have punctuation (reported);
Limited caption styles in the Talking Avatar;
And a suggestion:
Adding emotion to the text would be great. If possible using a prompt in the text fed to the AI model. Example: "[start on a high note]Hi John, [playful tone]how are you today? [curious]What brings you here today?".
Conclusion:
My initial reaction is that Jogg.ai feels like a top-notch AI platform for what I need, generous in its limits, and on the right path to become one of the best at lip-syncing. I'm European Portuguese and it also managed to clone my voice almost perfectly. Now I'll try the API to generate videos on demand, and I've got high hopes for that.
