The Potential is there for Jogg.
Jogg is an interesting tool that has a lot of potential. I appreciate that it's usable in its current form but it needs work.
The one big thing I like about the tool is that, upon making a personal avatar, I didn't have any trouble with approvals. I've had trouble in other tools, especially if I had a hat on in the training video and off for the live video confirmation. I did have a little trouble waiting for the personal avatar to process. I had to keep hitting 'retry' but it eventually worked. Took less than 20 mins.
Jogg has has templates for their videos but they absolutely need more.
The video avatars are ok. I'm glad they're adding more, but I don't understand why inclusivity is an afterthought with Jogg. If I was developing Jogg, my first thought would've been, a young/old, male/female of each skin tone - enough to represent the largest countries in the world for the markets in which the tool sells.
This tool looks so similar in UI to HeyGen. I asked directly if they used the same UI kit, but they didn't respond to that. They just said that their video tech is different, and yes, I call tell that's different. Jogg is not aware that users here get a little nervous about tools that look or seem like clones of other tools.
Also, I've noticed some lip syncing quirks and so have others. Jogg thinks we're all in preview mode when we experience the problem, but they're not thinking about after the video is processed. I think Jogg is missing the point about voice/lip syncing. What I believe people are referring to when they mention an issue with the lip syncing is they are noticing the lips or mouth SOMETIMES move in an unrealistic way for the words pronounced AFTER the video is processed and ready for export. I mentioned that most deal buyers' customers may not notice it, but we as deal buyers are heavily scrutinizing the tool for quality.
The roadmap isn't really helping me to understand where Jogg is going with this tool. Most tools like this are helping with multiple use cases. Is Jogg planning to branch out of video ads and give us more tools on the platform to create how we want to create like in HeyGen? Are they going to double down and make the best video ads generator in the space? I don't know. I would like to understand the direction they would take if they didn't have any customer feedback to rely on.
Good luck to you guys. As a customer, I want to see Jogg do well.
