Q: Hi guys, Is it possible to create a tracking link through your API?

I did not find in the documentation, for example, if I have an ERP o CRM that generates a file, for example, a quotation before sending it on any channel (WhatsApp, email), I would like to generate a unique link for each file before, is this possible?
Thanks

A: Hi,

thank you for your request.

Sure, here is the link to the API: http://api.joturl.com/ (with documentation and live demo).

Actually we also have an extended set of (still) non-public internal API.
Thus, if you need more endpoints to setup further actions with JotUrl, please submit a ticket on our Help Center (click on the red button in the bottom right corner of the dashboard) and we will support you.

Hope this helps.
Kind regards

Q: Youtube Videos and CTA.

Hi guys, just bought joturl as a replacement for a platform that has been pretty unreliable. Joturl seems pretty darned good ;-)

But (there always has to be a but huh...)

When using a destination url of a youtube video and then a CTA button over a destination site (starting to confuse myself a bit here so bare with me pls) the results are STELLA when using a desktop, but a bit meh on a mobile device.

Why meh? Well...the CTA button appears just fine, but the youtube video is tiny, tiny, tiny and it's right at the bottom of the page.

Any fix for this as a humongous amount of my traffic comes from mobile?

Cheers

Phil

We’ve fixed it right now.
Now it should look similar to the following screenshot, just taken on one of our test devices: https://jo.my/mobile-cta-screenshot

(if not, please let us know by submitting a ticket on our Help Center, thank you)(

Furthermore, we’re working on making the size of the video slightly larger.

Hope this helps.

A: Hi,

if your question regards Retargeting, then yes, you can :)

In that case, the flux is the following:

1. create a branded tracking link (using your own custom dedicated domain)

2. add one or more retargeting pixels (Facebook, Google, etc.) to your branded link

3. share the link on any kind of channel (social media, app, newsletters, PR, offline, etc.)

4. every user that clicks on your link will automatically be added to your Facebook, Google, etc. audiences

5. afterwards, log into your Facebook Business Manager (or Google, etc.) and create a custom audience based on users who clicked on a specific web page and provide your branded link(s) as web page(s).

6. Create your Ad in Facebook (Google, etc.) and expose it exclusively to the custom segmented audience created above

This way you will improve your conversion rate and lower your Ad expense :)

Please find video tutorials (Ep.02 and Ep.12) about the subject at https://jo.my/joturl-video-tutorials .

Furthermore, you can also leverage UTM tags (using the UTM builder and manager, included within JotUrl), to extract even more information about your audiences and conversions.

More in detail, when building an Ad on Facebook, there is a Tracking section on which you can enter UTM parameters.

These parameters are then passed to your tracking link, for example https://short.domain/alias?utm_source=facebook&utm_term=beer&[...etc...]

If your tracking link has an associated FB pixel, you can build the audience based on the rule URL contains short.domain/alias AND URL contains utm_term=beer.

This way you can filter per keyword(s) and also associate UTM source, term, etc. to each audience.

Hope I's able to correctly interpret and answer the question with useful information.

If not, please let us know by submitting a ticket on our Help Center (click on the Help button in the bottom right corner of the dashboard) and we will be happy to provide further support.

Thank you.
Kind regards
